"Over 24 hours with no wifi is crazy!!! I lived here for over 3 years and view living came in and they are the first that doesn’t get anything done and don’t respond to emails or send out massive emails if they is a power outage, no water etc crazy!"
"View Living is the worst management company that I have ever encountered and I lived in NYC for 14 years, prior to my time at their apartment complex. While living there, we had no heat for the month of December, we frequently lost water and management did nothing to try and resolve these issues. Avoid this place if you can, they are the worst!!!!"
"I was offered/bribed $100 off my already massively inflated and overpriced rent in exchange for a good review. I'm unable to do that because View Living is so terrible, but I'll still gladly take the $100. This company is a joke. How about taking that $100 to fix the out-of-control roach problem? Or maintaining the pool? Or facilitate maintenance requests? Or for trash pickup? As a reminder: View Living is a branch of Capstone Properties who's main office is in NYC (exact address being 31 W 34th St. Suite 7015, New York, NY 10001) Please do your due diligence if you're looking for an apartment and avoid anything that Capstone Properties is involved with. I'm almost positive they are just a shell company for something/someone else - I did some research on them. Also former employees are giving this company 1 star. Their whole operation is extremely sketchy in my opinion. Save yourself the sanity/money and just blacklist anything to do with View Living and Capstone Properties."
"I really enjoyed Audobon Manor until View Living took over in 2020. Management is impossible to reach by phone, email, or in person. In the rare occasion you reach somebody by phone, they are always rude and unhelpful. Never heard of Dee or Bianca or Dana??? Who's even writing these 5 star reviews? They sent out an email begging for "positive reviews" on google. Those who chose to leave a positive review will be entered into a raffle for $100 off March rent. How dare they try to incentivize tenants when they repeatedly close out maintenance request without following up? I had an emergency plumbing issue on a Saturday night. called the emergency number several times, no answer. Ended up having to hire my own contractor to fix the leak and pay for a hotel just to shower. Management did not even answer my emergency request! Why not just maintain the property, respond to work orders, and answer the phone once in a while?? The pool was rarely open in the summer. Garbage piles up all over the property. Heat barley works. Very large rent increases upon renewal. Based on feedback from dozens of tenants who have recently moved out... you will NOT GET YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. DO NOT MOVE HERE. Plenty of places in Ossining and Westchester with excellent management teams. VIEW LIVING GETS ZERO STARS!!!"
"ROACH INFESTATION coupled with shady management that attempted to steal our security deposit. For reference, we've been living at this complex for over 5 years and started when the complex was owned by Eagle Rock. We (and every other tenant) have been through nothing but hell since View Living took over in 2020. Our apartment and building had a nasty roach infestation. When brought to the attention of the landlord, all they did was send somebody once to put down some bait and that was it. Needless to say, it did absolutely nothing. So we ourselves had to spend hundreds of dollars on baits, sprays, etc to try and mitigate the issue ourselves. And when we asked if we could receive some sort of reimbursement or anything, we were told no. We had to deal with roaches for almost a year getting into our furniture, our clothes, our shoes, etc without any hint of acknowledgement or remorse from the landlord. When we moved out, there was still a massive infestation and I'm sure there still is. Absolutely abhorrent. The next big issue is them illegally keeping our security deposit after we were promised we would receive the whole thing in full. To keep a long story short, they were claiming that our last months rent had bounced and they sent me on a wild goose chase to provide them all different forms of proof that it didn't. I had to go in person to a Chase branch and speak with a branch manager and have her write and sign a note saying that our payment didn't bounce and that NONE of our payments have ever bounced. We've been paying on time every single month for 5 years. After I provided them with a copy via certified mail and an email, I never heard back from them. I sent dozens of emails and not one was responded to. Avoid at all costs."
