Reviews of Trail Run Apartments
"These apartments are dirty and poorly made, not worth the high price of rent, don't let the word "luxury" fool you, because these certainly are not. You won't get a wink of sleep as the walls are so thin. Dogs barking at all hours, loud cars, doors slamming, constant construction, fire alarms set off randomly, people smoking outside our bedroom. On top of that there is the worthless management who do nothing to resolve any issue ever even though they claim they address it and work to improve, instead they give you the Trail Run-around. The gaslighting from management from beginning to end is unreal and will have your head spinning. This was a terrible place to live and I am much happier now that I have moved out! I haven't had such good sleep in a year. EDIT: Our electric bills were over $300 in this apartment almost every month. Since moving out and into a house our electric bill has been $150 on average, $200 max. Something is really fishy with how expensive electricity is in these *new* apartments."
"Lived here about a year ago, all one star reviews are true, sad to see its only gotten worse. It's joke to call these apartments luxury. I lived here before the management switch and they were absolutely lovely and very helpful BEFORE (Megan especially) despite the issues with the apartment. After the change they switched managers to Brianna and it all went downhill from there. Never met someone so rude when asked to simply do their job. The noise pollution is unbearable. In my opinion, I'm not sure they even have subflooring as my floor would shake when my neighbor would close their door. Terrible place to live my quality of life has improved significantly since moving out."
"Trail Run has been nothing but great to my wife and I. It's rare to find a place that is pet friendly with a dog park and dog wash/spa. The amenities in the community come in handy and they are very well-maintained. Anytime we have had any maintenance issues, they respond right away and the staff is always very friendly and honest. Our experience at Trail Run so far has been like no other. I am grateful for our opportunity to call such a great place our home."
"We've now been here nine months and can speak to the pros and cons of living at Trail Run in detail. It's generally quiet, and our apartment is a good size for us. The staff are helpful. Most neighbors are friendly and pleasant; a small minority are very inconsiderate. We had two minor issues after moving in and maintenance was quick, friendly, and helpful on both occasions (unfortunately, they also left a strong cigarette smell in our apartment after they left, despite the entire property being smoke-free). The layout of our apartment is functional and there's plenty of storage. There's also plenty of parking including for visitors. We've enjoyed the amenities and the trail behind the complex. We like how pet-friendly the complex is and they made our dog adoption process easy, although there is an extensive list of restricted breeds. Moving in was a hassle. We couldn't get our lease until a week before we moved, even though we'd put down a holding deposit almost six weeks in advance. We were not able to see our actual unit until move-in day. There's no elevator so all of our furniture had to be carried up the stairs to our third-floor apartment. Hopefully, we never have an injury that impedes our ability to walk up those stairs or a visitor with impaired mobility. We were only allowed to move in on a weekday so had to take off of work. We were told the apartment would be professionally cleaned before our arrival. It wasn't dirty but it also wasn't clean. We found a dirty dog bowl in our kitchen cabinets and there were some dust bunnies. We were told the bedroom carpet would be shampooed but dirt came up when I vacuumed it upon arrival. The finishes in the apartment are nice (certainly not "luxury" as the complex is advertised) but the execution of the build is sloppy. There's a 8-inch circular divot in the bedroom floor where there's no carpet pad - right in front of the closet where we step constantly. There are carpet tacks sticking through the carpet all along the perimeter of our bedroom, which is especially noticeable in the doorway. The granite countertops are not properly sealed and show watermarks. And I've never seen such a sloppy paint job before! We were told the apartment would get a fresh coat of paint between tenants. Whoever painted got wall paint on the front of the kitchen cabinets, the kitchen and bathroom counters, door hinges, outlet plates, door trim, air vents, light switches, fire alarms, sprinklers…If it's something that they should have painted around, it has paint on it. You can see where they touched up the ceiling and door paint because it doesn't blend in. There’s also some discoloration where things were hung in some places so they clearly didn't early didn’t put a fresh coat on every wall as we expected. Our unit is very well sealed (we barely used the heat for our third-floor unit all winter) but lacks adequate ventilation. If we don't crack the windows or run the AC daily humidity rapidly exceeds 80% and the windows start dripping with condensation. The stove and bathroom vents seem to recirculate and do nothing to reduce humidity, so we are required to open the windows even in winter to prevent mold and mildew. The shower is also not great. We only get 20-30 mins of hot water. The shower head is not adjustable at all. We had super low water pressure when we moved in and maintenance was able to increase it but now the spray is as wide as the shower and hits the far wall - and there's no way to adjust the angle. It's very awkward. Be aware of all the fees! Our 1-bed unit is currently $1,795/month and going up to $1,850 with our lease renewal. There’s a $15 per month fee for trash. Our annual amenity fee was $350 for the first year and was supposed to be $75 for subsequent years according to our first lease, but this has been raised to a $30/month fee in our new lease. Pet rent is an additional $60 for a dog and $40 for a cat plus a $350 one-time fee to have any pets in your unit. Water, sewer, electricity, natural gas, and internet/cable are all separate."
"Trail Run Apartments is a wonderful place to live. It has all that you could need in an apartment complex (pool, gym, dog park). Also has a beautiful ~1.5 mile trail behind the complex following a creek. The complex has a wide range of ages (newborns to elderly), and many dogs. It feels very safe. The staff is very responsive and polite. The maintenance staff responds extremely fast to requests, and are also very friendly. Highly recommend living at Trail Run."
