Reviews of Shapes A Salon
"We went here and it is TERRIBLE we askes for 2 in off she took off 4 then said the hair was still dead at the ends and that we should really take off more. We said no and she was rude and just looked annoyed the whole time while cuttling our hair. I would not reccomend going here save your money and go somewhere else. Now we've got a 13 year old very upset hating her hair."
"Alesandra is focused, fast and of course friendly. I have been at salons getting the same service, being there twice as long, without a better result! Al is the hair boss!"
"Shapes and everyone who works there is incredible. The owner, Timmi, is incredibly talented and as a result is extremely busy. However, she ALWAYS finds time to work with busy schedules- whether that be staying open late or coming in early on a Saturday morning. I lived in California for years and went through many stylist- none of whom came close to Timmi. She's up to date on the latest trends, she's efficient, accommodating, uses amazing products, has such a fun personality, and my hair has never looked better!"
"I want to start by saying the star is for my stylist, because he deserves more than 5 stars. The business owner, however, does not deserve any. I recently had my hair dyed and did not want the color to fade too quickly, so I looked into purchasing hair care products from the salon to help maintain the color and I was told that all of the products they sold were ‘color safe’. After speaking with another stylist there, I decided on the dry shampoo, normalizing blend shampoo and color care conditioner. I loved the dry shampoo but the others just didn’t work for me. The shampoo made my hair more greasy, while it was supposed to help reduce the grease and the conditioner seemed to just not work. I tried them for a month so I could give it time to work, but gave up after that and figured I’d return or exchange them. At this time, I realized that the shampoo was not, in fact, color safe and contained sulfate, exactly what I was told to stay away from bc it would strip the color from my hair. I asked my mom to bring them back bc she goes there more often but she wasn’t able to return them for me on a weekend bc the person that does that wasn’t there. I finally decided to call bc I live out of state and did t want to take the trip if i couldn’t return them. I’m sure glad that’s the route I took too! The owner, Timmi, tried to make the receptionist do her dirty work for her by implying I wasn’t using the products correctly, but I finally had the displeasure of speaking with her directly. I explained the situation and was first old I didn’t use the products long enough, but was later told I used too much of the products, so she couldn’t just give me my money back. She then went on to state that ‘those products have changed peoples lives’ and she works with them every day so she knows how they work and swears by them and no one has ever complained about them. While admitting that I could be the exception, she said she doesn’t know what was done to my hair, what type of hair I have or what my water is like, because that all matters for some reason? Without saying the words, she was calling me a liar, which I still can’t figure out why I would lie about a product not working for me. I would have loved for it to work, but at $25 a bottle, that’s a bit outside my price range to have the complete opposite effect. I almost gave up when she finally offered a ‘compromise’ in that she would allow me to return one item. Knowing that I would get no further, I excepted this ‘compromise’ and will never purchase anything from her salon again. I have never experienced such a lack of customer service and am appalled by it. If you don’t know that a product will work for you and that you’ll like it, I would highly recommend not buying it from here or it could be a total waste of money."
"The best salon ever. Timmi Marchese and her talented staff are the best. I worked for Paul Mitchell in he's early days opening distributor and doing Hair Shows. Timmi Marchese has to be the most talented, knowledged,multi-creative person in the industry. You won't get an appointment to soon with her. But her highly trained staff can do wonders with you hair."
