"Liked this store, has tons of items at different price ranges so you can pretty much get whatever you are looking for at a reasonable price."
"****Update on my previous poor review. I have since been contacted by the General Manager at Ulta in Guilford. As the representative of management she offered a very sincere apology for the terrible behavior I was subjected too day’s earlier. She returned the two products that were missing from my bag! She also assured me that the two employees involved would be retrained (I’m hoping that is true so no one else has to be treated so unprofessionally! ) I would love to feel comfortable going back to Ulta in Guilford the other stafff were wonderful!"
"Too bad there's not a choice for zero stars! I would like to direct this poor review only to the Guilford Ct. store! The reason for this is for years as a family we've enjoyed shopping at the North Haven and Hamden Ulta's. However, GUILFORD is another story! On Friday Dec.1st my daughter and my 4 year old granddaughter and I shopped for holiday gifts and some necessities for ourselves. We spent a little over $200.00. When we got home we separated the items/we immediately realized 2 items were missing. After checking our receipt my daughter called the store. She spoke with a manager and told him were were missing1 Lip gloss(out of 4 we purchased) and 1 eyeliner. She was told by this manager he would check the cameras and get back to us. When he called back he told her WE WERE WRONG! He said he clearly saw 3 boxes of lip gloss go into the bag??? We paid for 4 and the receipt clearly shows it. He said he would recheck the camera and get back to us. He did not! So on Sunday I took our receipt to the store and asked to speak with the manager. A female showed up and acted like she was the manager but I remembered her from Friday and knew that's not who we spoke with on the phone. I then told her the manager is a male. She became upset and said he was busy and that ANY WAY I WAS TOLD to wait for his phone call. Now I'd have to wait. Which I did quietly for approx. 1/2hour. When no one came I called the corporate office number within earshot of a listening staff member. Minutes later the manager suddenly appeared. He saw and heard me explaining the situation on the phone. I informed him it was his corporation Customer Rep. Without saying a word he took my receipt and checked it and again immediately said "I got my products 3 lip glosses". I asked him to check my receipt more carefully. He said again on camera he saw 3 boxes of lip gloss go in our bag on the counter. We purchased 4!! The strawberry one is missing! I then had to point out the eyeliner which was also purchased and not in our bag. He then insinuated we could have taken both items from behind the counter. Staff and customers were in earshot of his accusations. I simply asked him if his camera showed anything like that? Of course he couldn't answer that because it didn't happen. All the time he was insulting us I continued on an open line with a customer relations Rep. and reminded him. He then said "as far he was concerned it was I who was acting in a "Threatening manner". I knew the store cameras were filming everything and they would show the corporation the facts. I did become frustrated with the stores behavior and did say I would follow up and get to the bottom of who took our products and get them returned to us. Again the manager and the other staff member who was backing him up with off hand comments informed me it was I who acting in a "threatening manner" at this point I knew I was getting nowhere and decided to handle my concerns directly with the corporation. The Customer Rep on the phone said she would make a report as well. Which she did and its being handled currently ."
"I had a makeup appointment today in Guilford Ulta. When I arrived I was told the person scheduled to do it had not come in. Two store associates, Lavette and Alex, offered to assist me. They were so helpful and knowledgeable, at the end I felt as if I'd had my makeup session. Thank you ladies, you were terrific!"
"just went and usually everything is great but for some reason the lady that checked me out was SO rude for no reason. she had an attitude when i gave a phone number that wasn’t mine (i was shopping for a friend and she wanted me to use her phone number for the points) and asked me if i was the person under the account. not sure why that mattered at ALL seeing as regardless, it’s a phone number. she had an attitude about a coupon i gave her also. no hate to ulta, i love going there but there’s no reason to be rude to strangers"
