"On hold for 53 minutes. Always long lines and miscommunication with providers. Finally decided to switch to rite aid. No reason to continue to be tormented trying to pick up medicine."
"DON'T SEND YOUR PERSCRIPTIONS HERE! They take over 24hrs to full-fill a prescription and never answer their phones either. This happens almost every time I have a prescription sent to this pharmacy. I ended up calling CVS in New Canaan and having them transfer it to their location instead as they have an 1hr wait instead of 8-24hrs!!"
"This CVS is understaffed at the pharmacy. I waited in-line for 30 minutes for a consultation with the pharmacist and left before I could speak with the pharmacist. There were other people in line ahead of me that had been waiting to have their prescriptions filled for over a week. One elderly gentleman in front of me was able to talk to the pharmacist and then proceeded to go to the pick-up line which looked like it was also a 30 minute wait. He must have spent an hour standing in line to get a prescription fill that he was waiting a week to get. As I was waiting in line, I could hear the "there are people calling the pharmacy" announcements for the pharmacists, but they were too busy filling prescriptions to answer the calls. The following day, I got lucky and was able to speak to the pharmacist by phone to ask why my prescription was on hold. He first saw that the CVS system said my prescription was set to be filled in three months and thought that I had picked up the prescription. When I said that it was on hold and I didn't pick up the prescription, the pharmacist told me that insurance was rejecting my prescription for prior authorization. I called my insurance company. The representative said no claim was made by CVS and there was no prior authorization required. Thus, according to my insurance representative, CVS put my prescription on hold without submitting it to insurance. It is hard for me to dispute my insurance company's claim that CVS erred since talking with the pharmacist is practically impossible. The insurance company tried to call the pharmacy to clear up the issue with me on the line. The insurance representative gave up after 22 minutes on hold. I'm pretty sure CVS could increase revenue at this location if they were to hire additional pharmacists, but it seems that CVS's goal is to work the pharmacists until they drop or until all the customers leave for a competitor down the street. Please help out the pharmacists and technicians at the Ridgefield Main Street CVS by going to Bissel, Rite-Aid or Walgreens. The employees here need some relief from their overwhelming workload."
"Unlike any other CVS I've ever been to. The pharmacy won't fill a prescription if it's not covered by insurance and never notifies you. It just keeps saying "in process." They cancelled my vaccine appointment even though the product was in stock and other people were getting it, then they couldn't reschedule the appointment (and this happened to two other people in line ahead of me). The one time I asked for advice in selecting something (a prenatal vitamin) the pharmacist pointed me to the section of the store and said, "they're over there." When I pressed for a recommendation, he picked one and said, "This is fine." Except my doctor later explained it was the only one without DHA. I had no idea and the pharmacist never talked to me about any options. I'd give zero stars if I could."
"complete mess and disaster, 2 out of 3 times prescribed medications are not ready for computer issues or similar and one has to wait 30 minutes or longer to get them to have things ready, I mean usually when I go there I have at least on sick child to take care off and another one that is hungry, if. Dr. sends in a prescription in the morning and you are not able to fill it by 5pm, you are just failing as a pharmacy"
