"I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. It is a hidden gem in Mystic. The atmosphere is very calming with low lighting, and if you're lucky, you can sit and watch the sushi chefs work their magic. The service is amazing, and they will accommodate anything you need within reason. My big recommendations are the scallop dynamite and the warm mushroom salad. Both excellent dishes that are cooked consistently well. All of their sushi is of high quality and you really can't go wrong with choosing this place. They also make awesome drinks. The Cosmo is my favorite and they aren't shy with the vodka :)"
"I recently visited this Chinese-Japanese fusion spot and was excited to try the Katsudon as I saw it on an [old] menu posted online. When I searched the latest menu at the restaurant, I could not find it on there. I then explained my order to the waitress, Sara, I described it as a fried pork cutlet in a bowl over rice. Sara assured me three things: - The garlic pork menu item matched my description - It was not spicy - It would be served over rice It was none of those things. When the food arrived, I was struck with confusion. "Is this my order? Maybe there was a mistake?". After waiting for it to cool, I took approximately 6 bites before being asked if I wanted to pack it in a box. Looking back, it feels like she was just trying to get me to rush through and pick something from the menu even though it's not what I wanted. Perhaps they don't like solo diners in the restaurant? I felt rushed from the beginning. The food was fine if one likes this type of food. I did not get what I wanted, but the wait staff made my experience feel sub-par and rushed."
"One of the best sushi restaurants I have ever visited even considering those visited in Tokyo New York in Los Angeles. Traditional and very creative sushi that could be considered works of art both by taste texture and visual presentation. Johnny the owner enables his team to excel in this unique restaurant experience."
"The taste of the sushi was really good, I loved it! But the price was outrageous. I ordered a la carte and it was acceptable pricing but my friend ordered a specialty roll. She got 6 tiny pieces that definitely wasn't enough so we ordered another roll. The second roll was 8 tiny pieces. There's no prices for the specialty rolls on the menu. Come to find out they were $19 EACH! We had a miso soup, a regular roll, 4 single sushi, the 2 rolls - no drinks. With tip it came up to $80! For LUNCH! And I still wasn't full afterwards. I would stick to a la carte sushi and not bother with the overpriced, tiny specialty rolls."
"Best sushi, ever! Anywhere! Unbelievable and so so so good. Who woulda thought… sushi pizza??!! But really, if you even think you might want to try sushi you HAVE to come here. If you live for great sushi, you HAVE to eat here!"
