"This Vet is fantastic. Everyone I've talked to there is very kind and clearly cares for the animals they see. Also they have always called me to check in on our cats the next day after any visit, even just for regular checkups."

"The only reason I’ve provided any stars to this practice is due to their support staff who are friendly, understanding and extremely responsive. I personally found it impossible to work with Dr. Esherick in the treatment of my elderly dog due to his impersonal demeanor, rigidity in treatment options and expensive prices. It’s clear he cares for animals, but in our case he was fixated on a treatment guidelines instead of tailoring to our pets circumstances. He refused to offer any treatment until we conducted a series of invasive, and what I thought were dangerous tests (all of which were priced significantly higher than local facilities, I checked). We ended up moving our care to Litchfield Hills in Harwinton and they are incredible. Our dog has since passed, but I can’t help but think his life could have been prolonged if it weren’t for these months of wasted time trying to work with this provider."

"We have been with the BVC for years. Travel +45 minute to see the fantastic staff and amazing Dr.Esherick. We have German Shepard with allergies. Surprise surprise! The care, compassion, time, and overall visit is well worth the drive, and wait time. Will you have to wait some visits longer than others? yes. However, Dr.E will spend time with you as well teaching, examining, and loving up on your puppers. Would you bring yourself to a doctor that spends 5 minutes with you and rushes out? Just like with humans, best of the best doctors are a rare find and may take some time to see. That’s what we have in Dr.E. & the BVC the rare diamond. "The staff at the Burlington Veterinary Center puts your pet first and is attuned to making your pet comfortable and feeling safe. The staff listens attentively to your questions and answers them thoughtfully. While extremely thorough in providing information about options, I don't feel pressure from the staff to pay for optional tests. I have only been bringing my pets to this practice for two years, but I already feel a connection with the staff. I appreciate that I see the same vet each time so she gets to know my cats and me. Everyone is helpful, pleasant, and knowledgeable."
