Mr Wok Chinese Buffet

"I had accompanied a work group to Mr. Wok Chinese Buffet in Waterbury, CT on Saturday 2/3/24. There was an abundance of different varieties of food, fruits and vegetables. The cost to dine in was $15.99 plus tax and an added tip depending on how large your group is. You can do take out as well, but your food will be weighed to get the cost. Lots of fresh food kept coming out to the floor and the waitresses maintained appropriate cleanliness during our time there."

"They stared at us the whole time we ate!! Every time we got up for food they started me and my kids in our face. They don’t even make it un noticeable they made sure we saw them staring at us. The lady( our waitress) kept trying to take our plate that we were eating and not even asking if we were done. Then I was generous enough to tip $3.00 and she walked up to us and demanded MORE. Not only did I pay the bill I left $3 even though they were rude. Please don’t come here!! They are very rude to colored people. If you are not Chinese don’t even waste your time going. I gave $3.00 more and no thank you or anything. I tip my nail stylist $30.00 with great service. Listen up Restaurants WE DO NOT NEED TO TIP!! THAT IS EARNED!!! Our meal was in total $105.00"

"had no running water and smelled awful, i have been there in the past and normally it is pretty good but this most recent time will be my last time. serving drinking water out of a big tub sitting in the kitchen, the fish tank had dead fish in it and stunk up the entire place. the food was gross and squishy. i truly hope this place can one day get back to being a decent buffet but as of right now i would would say spend the extra $5 and go somewhere else."

"One of my favorite restaurants. Great food at a great price. We've gone about every three weeks and have never been disappointed. A wonderful selection of foods & great service make this a perfect buffet to enjoy."

"I will not be coming back to "Mr Wok Chinese Buffet". I arrived at 6:15pm on January 26th and before I could even take a seat and look at the soft drink choices they have, I was bombarded with this woman who was showing us our seat asking what we wanted to drink. First time I felt rushed. We got to dessert around 7:30pm. Finished up and paid our bill. Now 7:50, we get up to leave and the woman (who has been taking our dirty plates) comes over, looks at the table and say "no tip"? Excuse me..... That is absolutely not professional to ask customers concerning a possible tip if it is not apparently visible on the table. Honestly, it wasn't what she said but how she said it. I followed up her question with a firm NO due to her unappealing attitude and lack of customer service. The next actions occurred: she throws plates of food together, stacking them on top of each other. Begins to clear off our table in an aggressive and vigorous manner. Talking under her breath to her self with what I can only assume to be harsh comments about us. I walked out after. Severely disappointed Food was alright. Nothing out of the ordinary for a Chinese buffet. Good for the price. That's about all the good I can say about "Mr Wok Chinese Buffet"."
