"Had a good dinner tonight. Nice night out for special occasions. COMPLETELY turned off when the man who brought our car to us at the end of the night kept yelling “cash” at us before we even got to the car for a tip. We had already left a tip with the other valet worker. When we drove off. He ran after our car tapping the side. When we stopped to ask what the problem was he continued to say “tip, cash” which we replied we already left a tip with the other guy. Would not have even left a tip if we knew that would occur. No one is obligated to give a tip. AWFUL."

"Zero stars. J House gets all the things that don’t matter right (like fancy toilets) and completely fails on the most essential, basic necessity of any hotel - silence. This place is unbelievably loud. If you have an adjoining room, you’ll be able to hear your neighbor fart. If you are anywhere near the lobby, you’ll be able to hear the drunken PE bros as if they were in your room. If you are near the road, you’ll be able to hear the music being played inside the cars as they drive past. And if you’re at the back of the hotel - the quiet side - you’ll be treated to a bizarre pulsing sound all night. J House is like trying to fall asleep in a noise torture chamber."

"High-tech luxury rooms that included: Electronic blackout blinds, TV set within mirrors (both in the main room and the bathroom), runner lights for the bed, room privacy indicator lights for the hallway instead of the doorknob hanger. The restaurant within the hotel (Tony's) was fantastic! Great food and drinks, and the impromptu trivia by the legend himself (Tony) was fantastic!"

"Haven't even checked out yet but wanted to leave this review. This place is a find. We had some business in Stamford but didn't want to stay in town so tried here. The hotel is beautiful. Apparently there is really no limit to how nice you can make an old Howard Johnsons. The rooms are super comfortable, especially the beds. I had a room closest to the highway so I could hear some traffic but it isn't bad at all. The high-tech stuff in the rooms was actually nice and not complicated. I was worried that this place might be trying a little too hard from reading reviews but that isn't the case at all. And what I didn't expect was for Tony's to be such a great restaurant. This is legit good Italian food and the outdoor terrace is a great garden setting. We got back from work late last night and the kitchen had closed but Tony himself (great guy) went back to the kitchen and pulled a few things together for us. Overall great experience here."

"We went for a mother-daughter weekend and had a fantastic time. The hotel is so nice - there’s a really modern vibe to the place and the technology aspect is excellent. The room was so nicely decorated and clean. The staff were so friendly and the breakfast was just perfect. Really happy with the place and we will definitely be back."
