"Dental Care of Stamford is a good practice. I go there for regular cleanings and just recently had some surgery there. It’s very clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I had an overall good experience with my surgery. My only complaint is that my surgery wasn’t explained in enough detail."

"After being a patient here for years I’ve had pretty good treatment here. The place is always clean, well maintained, ladies are usually always friendly at the front desk, the parking is not the best but you can grab complimentary drinks inside if you want, and the waiting times aren’t too long but can be somewhat tricky if you need any other procedure that isn’t a cleaning and aren’t the first in line—I get it, things happen and it can sometimes overlaps into yours but that was only one time for me, yet I can’t say the same for my family members. I’ve experienced maybe two or three assistants that liked to make sly comments but thankfully never saw them again if I ever needed any other procedures years later. Let’s face it, most people don’t like to go to the dentist in fear of being judged or not being up to their standards but most of the time it can be a easy time here. However during my last maybe two-three years of going here the billing department has become questionable. I don’t think it’s right to request payment while someone is sitting in the chair, anxiety somewhat rising while you wait to get a tooth pulled or filling or whatever it is you’re getting. That never sat right with me but it’s stated so you won’t have to worry about it after your procedure…yeah okay. They operate here on a credit basis, if you end up overpaying for something then you get it back in credit—which is fine if you continue to visit. I don’t know what happens if you move out of state but i hope they would issue you a check. I once had a issue where my credit was debated if it’ll apply. That was resolved and then another issue arrived where they waited six months later!!! after I chose to go elsewhere closer to where I live, that I suddenly owe some amount plus interest. You ask for exact dates for this specific charge and you just get a invoice of totals, no explanations, and a light threat in the mail, which makes no sense when they claim there’s a “investigation,” being done yet there’s still no answers…which is another red flag for me! Why would you wait until I no longer attend to bring this up instead of the last time I was there where there apparently were no issues? It’s a shame that’s how you go about treating someone who’s been a patient for years but it was good while it lasted."
