"Fell far below expectations and experience from previous stays. Perhaps most disappointing of all, no one from the property acknowledged my feedback after I took the time to write a letter after our stay. Here are just some of what we experienced. We stayed for two nights at the end of December. The thermostat in our room was broken meaning that every time we wanted to make a change we had to text or call the front desk. The in room dining took way too long; had to call multiple times even for ice (had paid extra to stock our butler's pantry). We took the kids to a (full priced) character breakfast the first morning and the food was disgusting - think freezer to table pancakes and french toast sticks. Such a shame when the Bistro normally serves delicious breakfast. The service at the Bistro was terrible. We waited over 90 minutes for our entrees to come out whilst other tables had eaten and left in that time. At breakfast the second morning, the pre-fix brunch menu was not explained, leaving us to figure it out as it came. I had to ask every time I wanted more coffee, meanwhile they left my wife's decaf carafe on the table - not sure which is worse when one is expecting 5-star service. There was also a splinter on the table's edge which pulled and ruined my wife's sweater. There were several other things, which my wife and I felt were failed or missed opportunities for OH to live up to it's 5-star reputation (and price), but I hope anyone reading this gets the point. We would not have been so disappointed had we paid to stay at Holiday Inn (sorry, Hilton), but after paying thousands to stay at OH, we had higher expectations."
"If you’re looking for an elegant place to stay while still getting a good value, the Ocean House is your place. I came for a jazz brunch, and was completely blown away by the whole experience. The building itself is unbelievably beautiful both inside and out. The interior is decorated with lots of great art, furniture, and some giant fireplaces, while the grounds outside are kept in top condition year-round and offer a great view of the ocean, as the name implies. Brunch itself was delicious, and considering the amount of food included and the live music, it was honestly a bargain. Had a tower of fresh fruit, a charcuterie board, and a shellfish platter come out first for the table to share, and then a choice of a starter and an entree. On top of that, there was a crepe bar, a pastry table, and a dessert table. Needless to say, I left very happy and full. I can only imagine how great it would be to spend a night here. Hope to be able to experience that soon!"
"My four friends and I recently celebrated a special occasion with massages, facials, and relaxation at the Ocean and Harvest Spa. The treatments and overall customer service were high quality. Michael G in particular stood out as he periodically checked in with us to ensure we had what we needed to enjoy our day. Thanks, Michael and team!"
"My now husband and I ate here at the bistro the night before our wedding. The service was spectacular. The food amazing. The wine list was unbelievable! Def recommend The Ocean House to everyone. It’s a great place to celebrate special events!"
