"Outstanding food here, with one of the best sauces I’ve ever had on a slice, it was that good. The pizza with pepperoni’s was very good too( we both agreed the best pepperoni’s we’ve had on a pizza). Their house draft beer was excellent as well. It was one of 3 places we wanted to try while in CT, i recommend going to Frank Pepe’s, Modern, and Sally’s if you’re up here visiting. Our waitress was outstanding as well making sure we had whatever we needed at all times and took the time to explain the history of Sally’s to us."
"Sally’s has really tangy sauce and a lighter less complex tasting crust than other New Haven pizzas. I have been to this Fairfield location twice and the New Haven location once. This particular visit the char was just too much. The dough just crumbled. We did enjoy the tangy sauce. It seemed like it was missing a butteriness compared to other visits. Sally’s pizza is what I would want to eat along with a Stella beer. Because it isn’t too filling. To me it’s reminds me of a good tangy tomato soup with bread dipped in it. It’s good but not something I would go out of my way for. I have had better Sally’s pizzas in the past. Especially like the one I’ve had with fresh tomato on top. It was tangy salty and buttery. Yum"
"Pizza was delicious and especially with a nice cold Mexican Coca-Cola in a bottle. THE PERFECT DUO. The kind of pizza place where you can have delicious pizza and other non pizza items plus amazing desserts. Great atmosphere and service was very good."
"The New Haven location was 2+ hours just for take out, so we decided to give the Fairfield location a try. We ordered the Summer Fling pesto chicken pizza, and most of our group loved it. I thought it was too heavy on the oil, it upset my stomach. But the taste and the crisp was perfect. Not sure how it stacks up to the original, but we had a good experience! The staff were friendly and the bar had a good vibe. Give it a try!"
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little, yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. I arrived to a half full restaurant on a Sunday evening. The capacity was surprising given it took almost 15 minutes to be greeted and provided water upon sitting down. Luckily, we had so much time to ponder the menu, we were able to order upon first making acquaintance with the waitress. We ordered two pizzas, the white pizza and the tomato & mozzarella. The white pizza was a bit under seasoned and promenaded as a cheese pizza without sauce rather than a true white pizza, 7.2/10. The tomato pie was scrumptious and featured a nice sweet sauce. 8.5/10. Both pies had a nice undercarriage and a beautiful char. Overall, I can understand the negative reviews regarding the service, but the food was luckily worth the wait."
