"So I'm usually not this picky but when you get a room it should be suitable enough to sleep. the bed is awful it's so hard my wife and I both tossed and turned all night but that wasn't the biggest issue. our room was 215 above the office and all night long the door was slamming so it would make you jump out of your sleep if you could get any. The room is pretty clean there was a stink bug a ladybug and a pubic hair in the bed. Our checkout was 11:00 a.m. our door was open twice once around 9:00 a.m. and again at 10:00 a.m. I had to call the front desk and ask them to please tell the housekeepers to stop coming in our room as I was in the shower expecting to leave before 11:00. Also someone had loud Bass going until about 2:00 a.m. For the price it was decent felt safe enough the staff was very friendly but those were my issues. Thanks"
"Stayed two nights between Christmas and New Years Eve. We had a room with a fireplace which was perfect for the rainy mornings. The balcony was great in the evening for a drink. The staff was wonderful...can't say enough how friendly and helpful they were from adding an an extra room when my sister and husband want to join us, to check in, recommendations for restaurants and checking out. Rock 21 has a pretty decent happy hr but recommend making reservations since it does get crowded. This was not our first visit and will not be our last."
"I would like to give more stars, but I can't. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because we received a $50 gift card for dinner in our "Romance Package". The package was supposed to have champagne, and they gave us prosecco. They gave us chocolates in a plain white box. The outside of the building looked like it hadn't been updated in a while. The room definitely hadn't been updated in a long time. One of the lights didn't work, the bathtub was dirty, the bathroom was very outdated, the jacuzzi tub was very loud, and one of the jets didn't work, and one of the nozzles came off. They offered a "continental breakfast," which consisted of small boxes of cereal, coffee, bagels, and yogurt. I've had better breakfast at a Holiday Inn. Also, they advertise that the breakfast is offered at 21 Rocks, the restaurant on the property. The problem is that the restaurant doesn't open until 11. I would not recommend this place to anyone. We were extremely disappointed."
"One of the best hotel experiences we've had in a while, the room was huge and spotlessly clean, with an extremely comfortable bed and pillows that really had some body to them. The check-in process was very smooth, none of the hour-long keyboard clacking that we've gotten at other hotels. Just a quick swipe of our credit card and check of our ID and that was it. Location was so pretty up on the hill overlooking mystic Harbor, with plenty of parking, and a very quiet setting. Even the continental breakfast in the morning surprised us, with the fresh and warm options like eggs and bacon and sausage and excellent coffee."
"Like Trying to Sleep in a Bus Station This Inn is charming, in a good location, with a great staff and a good restaurant. I really wanted to like it. But trying to sleep was horrible. First, there are very bright lights along the exterior walkways that are on all night. The room had blackout curtains, but they weren't wide or long enough to block the light--it was bright as day in our room all night long. The other side of the room, which got the morning sun, had only an old venetian blind with slats missing. Next, the uncomfortable bed was so squeaky I was afraid to move for fear of waking up my husband. I've never experienced anything like it. Also, the pillows became immediately flat once you put your head on them. Finally, the ac unit sounded like a jet engine. In general, the room had old, ugly and worn-out furnishings. I think the owners should try sleeping in the room and see how they like it."
