"I don’t live in the Groton area; however, anytime I am in that area Paul’s pasta is a place I have to go to. The pasta is made fresh, the staff is amazing, the food is delicious and you can’t beat the price for such large portions. Everything that I have had at Paul’s pasta has been nothing but outstanding. I highly recommend the pink sauce for all pasta dishes."
"First time in on a Friday at about 6pm. Really cool location on the Thames in Groton. This place does not take reservations. Show up and wait. No place to sit while waiting as the dining area is pretty small. We gave our name and number and sat in our car for about 30 minutes. The view was nice at night with the fog, so it wasn't a bad wait save the anticipation to try the food. Finally seated, waitress Rachel was really nice and patient even though they were really busy. Smiles and warmth go a long way with me. The restaurant is a little outdated. I wouldn't call it a romantic date night. Tables are also very close together, loud, no privacy. Got the breaded chicken alfredo, mozarella herbed garlic bread, and Dorothy's meat lasagna. Bread hit the table in about ten minutes and was one of the best garlic breads I've had. Lots of marinara to accompany it! We ate the whole loaf while waiting. Our entrees came out about 15 minutes later. The alfredo sauce is the winner. One of the best. Chicken cutlet was really good. Pasta is fresh on both entrees, really a highlight. My lasagna was decent, not the best I've had. I did enjoy the generous amount of sausage in it, a little too saucy for me, but maybe that's from already eating so much sauce and garlic bread. Notice our pictures, these were the small portion option of each entree and we could barely eat half. Took the rest home. Also ordered three cans of Coke. Our bill was only $43! For the value, totally worth it. Again, five stars to Rachel, she was great. I will eat here again, maybe on a less busy weeknight."
"You can smell the delicious experience when you are standing outside. Great choice for a wonderful pasta experience. Everything was delicious. No shortage of garlic which was awesome. From appetizers to dessert the whole meal was delicious. We had a wait because the place is small and we had a group of five. But it was still worth the wait."
"Visiting Paul's is always a pleasure. Their portions are more than enough, full of as much pasta and sauce as you can imagine. The staff is always pleasant and provide quick service. I can see why so many people love coming to eat at Paul's and continue to come back after many years. Do recommend especially for all pasta lovers."
"The BEST Italian ever. We drive from Ohio once a year specially to visit Paul’s. It’s THAT good. The view from the balcony is great too."
