Gido's Brick Oven Pizza

"I tell you, this is one of the best pizzas I've ever had!! Nice Italian menu, ice cream, drinks, clean, spacious, handicap accessible, plenty if parking, and kid friendly! They make their pizza in a brick oven and it tastes terrific!!"

""Today, we embarked on another delightful foodie adventure with my babe, and our destination was the newly opened GIDOS Brick Oven Pizza. We kicked off our evening with our favorite drinks - a Diet Coke with a lime and a vodka for my love, and a virgin ginger ale for me. Our taste buds were in for a treat. For starters, we tried the Crab Rangoon dip, and I must say, it was out of this world, much like our experience at this very moment. Our anticipation only grew as our entrees arrived. We decided to go for the Nashville Hot Chicken Pizza, and if you're a fan of pickles on your pizza, you're in for a delightful surprise. I enjoyed it immensely, pickles and all. Now, let's talk about the wings. Oh my God, I've found my new go-to wing spot. The Kickin Bourbon flavor was an absolute revelation. I can't wait to try all the other wing varieties they have to offer. Overall, our experience today was nothing short of spectacular. We Love this new spot, and its proximity to us is an added bonus. We can't wait to return and explore more of this bomb a** menu options. The food was absolutely amazing, and we can't thank the staff enough for their warm hospitality and the great atmosphere. "Wicked friendly staff. Good atmosphere and cool sports bar. The Italian sub was dry and bland. The smash burger was not smashed and kind of disappointing. The fries were okay(really just could’ve been cooked longer.) The onion rings were good. But we didn’t try the pizza, so I would definitely be willing to go back to try that."

"Beautiful space inside. Very accommodating staff for the first day open. Definitely a place I’ll be back to to try other items on their menu and give their pizza another shot. I’ve had really high hopes about this place because places like Treehouse in Deerfield, Casa Pizzeria in Ludlow, Blue Square in Hopkinton are the closest to get next level pizza and they’re all 35+ mins away. I think a great brick oven pizza spot (and a Whole Foods) are exactly what Sturbridge needs especially with places like Enricos being underwhelming. This pizza just didn’t live up to my hopes despite going in wanting to love it. The biggest issue I had was the dough. I prefer thinner pizzas with a more fermented dough. This dough was thicker than I expected and didn’t have much crisp, char, or yeasty flavors. It detracted from the ratio of sauce:cheese:crust rather than adding anything to the flavor profile. I think this place is going to do really well in Sturbridge, but I’m still searching for a local slice that takes my breath away. Other menu items have always my preference over the pizza at Teddy G’s as well. Here’s hoping my review improves with some of the other things on the menu."
