"This was a great place to pull in for a couple of nights on our vacation this past Summer. We were making an 8 state tour and this was the cleanest campground we stayed at., The bathrooms and showers were clean and comfortable and the facilities were all well maintained and accessible. Would definitely stay here again. We were gone during the day both days we were there, so we didn't get to participate in the planned activities, but there was plenty on the calendar that would easily keep a family entertained!"
"Campground was clean and nice. Pool was clean and nice. Not too many sites available, most are seasonal and permanent sites. Camp store is pretty empty not too many necessities available if you forgot something, had to go to grocery store instead. Other than that, a nice campground."
"We have stayed at Nelson's for about 4 years, The location is terrific with stores, restaurants and shops nearby. A bit of a tight road leading to it, but nothing silly. The services like water, sewer, electric and cable are all solid and without trouble. There is a good RV shop with smart technicians on site. We'll be back again this year."
"My stay for the 2022 and 2023 seasons were very limited but that doesn’t speak for the previous years. Our stay at Nelson’s under the previous ownership and staff was 5Star. Diligently monitored and controlled. I am disappointed with the new leadership in how our site fees have increased while incentives decreased (loss of pump outs, maintenance services, to name 2!). Higher fees with nothing to show for it isn’t conducive to keeping long time campers. I have noticed the Court has had a number of departures and Facebook postings have revealed many others from the main campground. Yes, turnover is expected though it appears to be greater than in the past. What little access to the beach we did have is no longer available. It is expected that the dock be used to access the lake. This causes unsafe access to boat owners and trash has been left on boats and on the dock. Using the pool is not an option for many of us, especially those of us in “the court”. It is often too crowded. I’m hoping the future is brighter for all of us."
"As a travel nurse the RV park graciously opened up to us a little early allowing us to fill our bus with water from an accessible building until water lines were open for the season. We had a nice lot with lots of room to maneuver our bus in and out. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. I would return next time we are in that area."
