Reviews of Niantic I95 Exit 72 CT KOA
"Stayed at the Niantic KOA a few times over summer, LOVE IT! The Niantic area is one of my favorite places in Connecticut and this KOA is the perfect place to stay while there. Nice, quiet campground, roomy sites with plenty of green area for the pooches. Staff is second to none, very friendly and helpful with whatever you may need. This year they completed the pool which is awesome for families. Personally, I like the beach so I take full advantage of the beach passes they offer for the town beaches. Has a good mix of seasonal, weekend/week as well as transient campers. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area."
"Good people. Good location. And good services. I got here a little late and the food cart stayed after hours so I could get a quick bite to eat. Bubbles, one of the people working here is a very salt of the earth guy and helped me get situated. I had some issues with my car and the staff helped me fix it. I stayed in one of canvas tents and the conditions were clean and well put together, which is more than I can say about some of the hotels in the area. Next time I visit Groton/Mystic area I definitely will stay here again."
"1st time at this KOA. Convenient off of I-95 traveling North. Just after exiting to campground, major road work on 95. Slow/backed up traffic (FYI). The campground is in transition with improvements in progress (new pool, fencing and landscaping). Staff is great and very helpful. Lots of fun activities for kids. Roads need a bit of TLC bringing your campers/rigs in. Go slow. We had a pull thru with Water, Electric and only gray water dumping is allowed. We were there for 2 nights and had a great time. Plenty of green space between Sites which our dogs loved! We would return. Mystic, CT a short drive away. Must see. Remember the movie “Mystic Pizza”? Fun"
"Had a fantastic time for a couple of nights in the glamping tents. Pool was beautiful, staff was awesome.... especially the dude who drops off the firewood. Kids activities were nice although they could have thrown out more coins. Bath houses are ok, it's clear they are making improvements with the campground. The glamping sites were nice, the tents were spacious. Could have used a good cleaning on the outside but nothing major. We will be coming back next year for our annual granddaughters camping trip, this is the perfect place for us."
"First timer at koa Niantic and I was very pleased with my stay. I will definitely be returning again. The new pool was great and all the areas near by to visit and beach areas were great as well. The camp offers a shuttle service to the town and state park. Very pet friendly and above all the staff was very nice and made you feel welcomed. Nice camp ground for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors with many activities for the kids."
