Reviews of Pizzarama Drive-In
"I honestly did not want to write this review due to the fact that I know how detrimental it could be to the business but as I hear even more terrible stories of others' experiences, I feel obligated to share mines. My family and I have been customers at Pizzarama since I was a little kid. In fact, when family from out of the state come back, we make it a point to visit Pizzarama. My first experience with chili pepper flakes was me joking around as if I was thirsty and next thing you know I had a mouth full of pepper, which changed my life lol. I feel it is important to understand some of the history because it does bother me that I have to leave this review and Pizzarama was so nostalgic to me that it hurts knowing I will never go back. I ordered a large hamburger pizza and a large, toasted ham grinder with mayo to go for my daughter and I to have dinner when I got home. I work in the area and then I have to drive home which takes about 20 min. When we were eating the pizza, we noticed a long piece of hair. I understand this happens by accident on occasion, so I gave Pizzarama a call and let the young lady who answered the phone know what happened. She offered to make a new one, but I told her I just got out of work and drove 20 min home; it is not convenient for me to go back there and come back home today. I do work in the area and I wouldn't mind picking it up for another night. She put me on hold, (assuming to ask her manager for permission) then she politely let me know that my name will be at the register to pick up for another night. This was fair in my opinion and I agreed. A week later my daughter and I were craving our pizza from our local establishment, and I placed the same order. When I went to pick up the pizza, I let the manager, who is the new owner, know about the situation. He showed little interest and proceeded to tell me that my name was not at the register. I assured him that I was told it would be and even had the date I called for proof. He then says, "Oh yeah, you're the reason the girl doesn't work here anymore." as he boxed up my pizza and said he still has to charge me for the grinder. Charging me for the grinder I was fine with but insinuating that I am the reason you let go of your employee because she was trying to correct the problem was insulting. I was actually stunned and then I said maybe he's just having a bad day and did not mean it like that. Until he followed up with "Yeah, she has you to thank for that." Instead of engaging in a dispute about who's right or wrong I decided to just leave. Now, in the heat of the moment I wanted to bash this place and put it all over social media etc but again I chose not to really due to the fact that Pizzarama once meant something to me with all the memories. As I continue to hear more horror stories about the new ownership, I finally took the time to leave my review. To the young lady who was let go because you were trying to do the right thing, I am sorry this happened to you and if you are looking for employment, reach out to me. I could always use an honest employee who does the right thing and I know plenty of business owners who do as well. For those looking for a simple review to decide if this is where you want to eat ... DONT. 5 min away there is a local pizza shop called Supreme Pizza with better food and better people. They will call you by your name because you are not just another customer to them."
"This pizza place is slowly becoming my regular dine in spot! The owner says hi to me when I come in and makes it feel like a homey vibe. The food is always amazing and hot, and relatively inexpensive! I go here often and I'll continue to do so!"
"Look at how amazing this is! *drool* omg so great! Half bacon and black olive half feta and broccoli! To die for! Thank you for creating masterpieces since I was younger than 10 years old! Will always come back and drive far for more!"
"My wife and I have ordered take-out or delivery ( to brewery next door) only a few times, and each time the food had been amazing. This place has the best grinders ever!! Always look forward to having their food."
"This is a takeout review. All food is eaten promptly in the vehicle. I had chili, fries, and a pepperoni pizza. The chili was quite good, thick and meaty with a very nice flavor. The fries seemed to be baked instead of fried. They just seemed different. The pizza was OK. I liked the sauce and the cheese to sauce ratio was good. The crust didn't really impress me. Just had a different texture. On a scale from 0- 10 I would rate this 7.7."
