La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Springfield MA

"I’m still here as I’m typing, but wanted to give a review of the great quality I had being here. Obviously, there were things that couldn’t be controlled such as a bad dispenser in the lemonade squirting it all over the place which got fixed the next day, but the folks at the desk were nothing but the best except the one I had on Saturday Morning forgot to send someone from housekeeping to get me toilet paper in which I was able to get later in the evening when I came back, so all good. Biggest issue was my room had a broken coat/book rack in the closet in which I encountered the first day I was there on the Thursday for the stay during the weekend of the Amherst Historical Society’s Model Train Show. The lady I spoke to offered me a different room in which I declined because I liked the room we had and already unpacked. She got maintenance to check that evening but sadly didn’t have the parts until the next morning when the guy came as I was about to walk out to the show for the day. Came back to the room later and all fixed. I’ve been a regular for the last 4, or so years and will continue to return."

"I haven't been to a La Quinta with a bar, but this one has one and bartender Kim will make you feel right at home with a drink and a good story! She's a real one. Overall this La Quinta is a good value for the price. Even if the facility is a little tired and unfortunately located on the wrong side of the tracks. It served our needs just fine with close proximity to the train station."

"My mom lives nearby this hotel and when we visit we stay here. Last night we checked in late just as there was literally the last call at the bar. Ms. Kim was welcoming and did not hesitate for one second to make us drinks even as she was locking up the cabinets. She even scoured the cabinets for the ingredients for our Manhattans!!! She never rushed us and even proceeded to entertain us. Thank you Ms. Kim. Looking forward to our next visit!"

"Worst customer service experience that I have ever had. Shower had no hot water. Bath tub didn’t drain. Heat didn’t work until I turned up the thermostat to 78. Ask that the manager call me to discuss the situation and a nights refund. Manager never called me back. After 3 weeks dealing with corporate they said that they couldn’t do anything as far as a refund. Called the manager again and all that they were will to do was refund 1/2 the cost of one night stay. Will never stay at this location again. I’ve stayed at this location previously 5 times and have been generally satisfied."

"We stayed in this hotel for a few days. For the location, it is right off the highway which is great. It is dog friendly which is why we chose it. Everyone was respectful to us, chatted with us, and the bartender was great! As for the rooms and hallway, everything smelled like weed. That was really frustrating. Every floor has a sign saying no smoking, but I guess that doesn't apply to weed. The bathrooms are so small you can barely fit inside. Beds were decent. But I do appreciate the kindness of the staff."
