"I had a new patient appointment at this dentist in January. I was not asked about previous dental records, they didn't have a sink to spit into, they didn't check my gums (using that system where there's numbers and the hook tool to check gum pockets), the flossing wasn't thorough enough, I never even saw the actual dentist since he was never called in (which means I didn't get an oral cancer screening), they didn't offer me a fluoride treatment (which I would've wanted), I mentioned that I used to have a night guard for grinding, that I currently don't have one, and was not offered a fitting for a new one. I couldn't ask either because the hygienist did not stop talking and was not thorough at all. I felt like I was not important and not treated like a new patient (since you'd think new patients would be given more attention to get to know their issues). I won't be returning here for my next appointment."
