Reviews of Smile Center Family Dentistry Dr. Beenish Orr,
"She hugs patients and promises help. Then makes you pay for a scan . 179.00 she needed to make a dental plan. She prefers vulnerable people trying to get their lives back. If you don’t have100grand,the office will lie about insurance taking a lot more time. The 179.00 scan was never submitted because that X-ray was not covered. The doctor would not hand my scan over to me. Two years an X-rays wasted my life. Don’t let her scam you too!. If you are a victim call the Department of consumer protection.CT This was a fraud. She had no intention of seeing me as a patient.Today she told me about a year ago I paid for an X-ray. It was very tight for me. I asked her what she wanted with the X-ray? Doctor Orr was like a deer in the headlights. She raised her voice at me. Did she take your money with no follow up ? Get your justice!"
"I guess I'll start this with my most recent visit with them. Doing my cleaning, the hygenist was phenomenal. Her bedside manner was great. I couldn't say nicer things about her. I felt so comfortable with her that I booked the filling I needed. My second visit was with Dr. Woo. Now, it's been a few years since I've been to a dentist so obviously she had her work cut out for her. I've never been so demeaned, and degraded at a dentist office before. She was rolling her eyes, banging her tools down in an aggressive manner. I understand my teeth needed work however that's why I'm here, to fix the issues. Now I was sitting in that chair like, oh man, shes going to be digging at my teeth while shes this upset with my dental care. She was also very rude to her assistant while giving me the filling. Dr. Woo's attitude towards me was just awful, and unwarranted. I don't usually write reviews, but I had to. Now let's fast forwards, 3 months. I'm not a minor, and they decided it was a good idea to give my personal information to my mother. She was told I had a balance, which I paid in full before departing on my last appt and was assured insurance covered their half, and I paid the remaining balance. If I still had a balance I would've paid it right then and there, which I thought I did. The front desk clerk was so dismissive and rude. She actually hung up on me without completing the reason for the phone call. So do I still owe a bill? She couldn't care any less about the situation and clearly has no proper bedside manner, training, or HIPAA training for that matter. This place used to be great, but they clearly have no employee relation training. Their hygenists on the other hand are amazing! If you're going for a cleaning, I'd say go ahead. Anything else, stay far far away."
"I went here a couple of months ago, the office looked really nice and clean. The dental assistant weee really good. I called for my mom to come in and see if they took her Medicare and they claimed they did. When we showed up, she said she had to charge me for x-rays and a consult, and told me I should be able to get reimbursed for it through her insurance, but she couldn't guarantee it. After her exam, the receptionist tells me that her Medicare may not cover anything and gave us a cash price to pay, and told us to try and call the insurance to get some of it reinbursed. So essentially they don't take any insurance and it's really just up to you to send in the paperwork and do their job for them. They shouldn't lie to people like this and tell them that they take insurance when the only thing they do is give you the papers to fill out for reimbursement, which means you have to pay the dentist cash up front. We went to another dentist and they covered what my mom needed with no out of pocket costs, no money upfront needed, no reimbursement paperwork to fax in, and with my mom's medicare. So if anybody is expecting to use any health insurance, don't go here! Also make sure you find out what they charge for certain things because their prices are higher than other dentists that are local. Meeting her, she's not a personable type person, dry personality, no smiles, it felt like she wasn't in a good mood. This is not some place you would look forward to coming in to get dental work. Again this was a few months ago so maybe things have changed but I figure I give people a warning and what to look out for."
"It is my pleasure to recommend this office. as your most desirable choice for restoring that bright smile you've always desired. I got my front veneers, I look like a model, happy with the results, office made the process of getting veneers painless, getting 8 implants next month, definitely recommend them to anyone!"
"First time ever for me writing a review but my experience at this place got me so upset that I feel I should let others know. ...I got rushed into the room to get my teeth cleaned, since that was the only reason I was therefore. Than I waited for about 10 min. The lady start cleaning my teeth while talking non stop. I finally had a change to ask for a cup of water to rinse out my mouth but this was to time consuming. Once done she left and came back with the x ray west. And that after I told her twice already that I want no x rays taken. But they are free , ( well not for the Incurnce company. ) ......I did not want x rays. They should be on file anyway. Ready to leave once again I was told I need to see the dentist ,again I told her that I only made an appointment to get my teeth cleaned and I was told on the phone that there was no problem. She left and got the dentist anyway. Never even met the lady , telling me that it is office procedure to get a check after cleaning..(at this point I sure wished I was one of the people who just walk out.) But I sat back down. Getting my teeth checked while she talked over me all that time. Even after she stayed and talked non stop. I never got a word in. Just watched her mouth move since she took off her mask. ...I cried after I left. In my long life I never had such an awful dental visit. I was rushed, ignored, and lied to. ..after all, we are human and not numbers with $ signs next to it."
