Reviews of Ethan Allen Hotel
"We didn't stay at the hotel. We were planning on going there for brunch with a large group of friends. The frustrating part was that we called to see if we had to make reservations and were told that it's not necessary that we can just come in. Well, upon arrival, we were informed that they haven't been serving brunch anymore."
"Dog friendly. Althought could not find a dog walking area outside. We stayed in a suite so our dog had space. The room needs updating. See photo's. It was mostly clean but saw small sugar ants in the bathroom. Tub appeared dirty, although it might be rust. The dog fee is 75$, but 100$ is held on your card. Bed was comfortable. Nice pillows."
"I expected an upscale hotel given that Ethan Allen furniture is so expensive. There’s no room service here and no complimentary breakfast. But there is a pricey onsite restaurant. We stayed on Christmas morning, the restaurant was closed and so was everything else in the neighborhood. The hotel had nothing to offer guests. No bagels, oatmeal packets, nothing. So we didn’t eat breakfast. I do like that suites are inexpensive. Overall not a bad place to stay for the money."
"Overall a nice place to stay. First the bad. Being notified the night before that the water was going to be shut off at 7:30 am forced us to leave early. I realize that sometimes that happens with major maintenance issues, but would have been nice to know when we checked in. Also, the rooms are in desperate need of updating. I can't remember the last place I stayed that didn't have smart TVs. The bathroom is from the 80's, but clean and they still have the old fashioned heat lamps. With that out of the way, we had the most comfortable bed ever, the room was quiet and laid out nicely. The lobby/conference area was nice with very comfortable furniture and a fireplace. Perfect for meeting friends or a conference/party. The restaurant wasn't open very long but the food in the bar was great. Would definitely stay there again and recommend it. We did book it thru a third party site, which always bothers me. Why is the price 30% more when calling direct?"
"A solid hotel choice for a few nights. It's older and, because of that, the walls are pretty thick. Didn't even hear anyone else or the noise from the highway. Don't be scared - the place looks a little sketch from the outside. Rooms are decent but older and the furniture/TV shows it. Bed was comfy, linens were good quality, towels were fluffy, and the staff is super friendly. There are instructions for how to get hot water in the shower (I know that's a complaint here) and it was basically hot on demand with great pressure! There is no daily housekeeping unless you ask for it. There's a free breakfast but I didn't use it."
