"I ordered a medium half Bacon and half Sausages pizza. The owner asked for pictures of proof that there was bacon on it because I’m at work and could not go back to bring the pizza. I showed him two pictures that showed it had both bacon bits and Sausage on half of the pizza and the other half was just cheese. He continued to state that there was no bacon on it after the pictures was sent. I told him I’m not going to go back and fourth over what is clearly seen. I just will no longer order from them. He said fine, that’s my choice. The last picture is what the owner sent me which shows what clearly in these pictures."
"Honestly this place use to be a jem on the north end. I live across the street since I was a child I’m 30 years old. My mom still lives here I visited her over a week ago decided to get a wrap. Was told they make pre wraps now and if I wanted one. When I lived at my moms house they made custom made wraps. I ordered a medium pizza and a grilled chicken wrap with lettuce tomato jalapeños onions mayo. I received a sloppy burrito completely unedible I had to buy wraps so my mom can eat it. I’ve never been served something like that in my life. I found out from neighbors it was sold around the pandemic and it’s never been the same since very sad this place has changed. I would never make a comment to ruin place but that was unacceptable would only recommend the pizza."
"I have ordered pizza and apps from them many times as well as pasta and salad Unfortunate that I ordered an entre and an app that was not good this time. I did call the restaurant and spoke to the manager. He was very insulted. I did ask for a refund. I had told him in the past anything I have ordered was very good. Just not this time. In most places an apology would have been given. No. I had to say I was sorry to ask for a refund as the 2 items were rather expensive. I was told now I cant order food from them anymore I had to talk a salad out of him to take at time of refund I do hope I can order a pizza again in the future because I do like their pizzas I may not be able to. For one negative on the entre Not good for business Think twice before calling with an order that was not what you wanted You may not be able to order again Going forward I would like to order pizza and salad and an app I don't live far from them and convenient I was very disappointed in the reaction I received I wish the experience had been better I do hope to order again with a positive experience as I have had If I no longer able to get food from them again. That's not a good business mindset I do hope no one else has this experience I am willing but if I am refused.. I wish them well"
"Visited this place because it was a favorite and regular place to eat for my mom and dad in the 90s. We always dined in, and so did so today. We were the only patrons on a Tuesday night. The place is sort of run down inside and was stuffy. We skeptically ordered a San Remo Special and garlic knots. The pizza and knots were absolutely delicious! The crust was crisp and tasty, and the sauce and toppings were generous and flavorful...the best New England style pizza I have had since leaving Connecticut! The large pizza was huge and I was full after one piece! The garlic knots were very flavorful as well. So simple but so very tasty! I am glad we stayed and gave it a try. PS parking is limited, we parked in the back."
"San Remo was THE BEST when Leno owned it and then his daughter Chrissie owned it after him… Lino and SAN REMO INVENTED the garlic knots 40 years ago that EVERY other restaurant copies to this day !!! Sergio took over for Chrissie and carried on their excellent tradition of great food and great service… The last time I ordered from Santa Remo was a year and a half ago I don’t know who owned it but it was flipping EXCELLENT ;STILL!!!! I haven’t tried it since then but I’m interested to see how they are doing…. I feel bad for the bad reviews but remember- the only reviews are usually bad ones ….everybody that has a good experience usually doesn’t leave a review, so keep that in mind people!!!!"
