Anam Cara

Anam Cara (gaelic: soul friend) - School of Irish Dancing is a dance school located in Munich, Germany. We offer Irish dance courses for children, teenagers, and adults. Our classes include a variety of dances, such as the impressive hardshoe step dances, the traditional Sean-Nós style, the graceful softshoe dances, and the lively Ceili group dances. With just three basic steps, you can make quick progress in our classes.

We also offer private lessons and studio rentals, as well as the option to purchase a ten-class pass, which is valid for six months. Additionally, we can organize an Irish Ceili or a performance for your event, whether it's a wedding, bachelor party, or birthday celebration.

Our founder, Isabell Schmieder, discovered her love for Irish dance in 1999 and has since participated in numerous performances, both big and small. She also holds a certification as a Ceili and Irish Dance Instructor from the Irish National Folk Company in Dublin. In 2020, she achieved great success in international digital Feisanna (competitions), including first and second place finishes in various categories.
