Welcome to Broad Bay School, a vibrant and dynamic institution located in the beautiful city of Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we take great pride in providing an excellent education for children in Years 1-8, as well as catering to the energy and enthusiasm of our 4-year-old students.

At Broad Bay School, we believe in the power of hands-on learning experiences. We invite you to come and witness our exciting teaching and learning programs in action. Our dedicated and passionate teachers work tirelessly to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

We are grateful for the support we have received from the Otago Community Trust and Bendigo Valley Sport and Charity Foundation. Their funding has enabled us to implement an Open Water safety program and swimming classes for our students. From November to June, our Tamariki will have the opportunity to enhance their water safety skills, thanks to their generosity.

In addition, we would like to express our gratitude to Canon NZ for their funding and equipment provided through the Canon Oceania Grants 2020. This support has allowed us to embark on an exciting project to create a 3D model of Broad Bay and the harbor, incorporating the oral histories of our local community through QR codes. We welcome ex-pupils and anyone with local history to share with us, as we aim to preserve and celebrate the rich heritage of our area.

One of the many aspects that sets Broad Bay School apart is our strong sense of community. We foster a family-like atmosphere where students build lasting friendships and feel supported by their peers and teachers. Our small size ensures that each student receives individual attention, allowing them to develop their learning in a personalized and meaningful way.

Broad Bay School is also proud to offer a range of exciting opportunities for students to develop new skills. From sailing to skiing, our extracurricular activities provide a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom. We believe that these experiences contribute to the holistic development of our students, preparing them for future success.
