Welcome to Pacific Trust Otago! Located in Dunedin on McBride Street, we are a charitable organization that is committed to providing support and services to the Pacific communities in the Otago region of New Zealand. Our goal is to enhance the wellbeing of Tangata Moana in Otago and other areas by offering sustainable culturally responsive services in the areas of health, education, economics, social support, and culture.

At Pacific Trust Otago, we understand the importance of financial literacy, especially for our youth. That's why we offer informative sessions designed to provide practical and applicable knowledge about basic financial topics. Our facilitators cover a range of subjects, including different income sources, economic and cultural factors, saving, banking, budgeting, and much more.

In partnership with Vision Chartered Accountants, we also host training sessions on the Xero accounting package. These sessions are designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the software, ensuring that you are equipped with the necessary skills to navigate and utilize it effectively.

To continue expanding our offerings and services, we rely on the support of our community. Some of our services are funded through government funding from the Ministry of Health, the Ministry for Pacific Peoples, and the Ministry of Social Development. Additionally, we receive grants from our partner agencies and providers, which enable us to operate and serve our community.

Our organization is built on the principle of inclusivity and representation. We have a governing body consisting of representatives from nine ethnic groups from the Pacific islands, ensuring that all Pacific nations are well-represented in our organization. We are proud to be the largest group of Pacific people in Dunedin, engaged in a range of activities from academia to industry, with strong connections to the Cook Island community, the Tongan community in Oamaru, the Kiribati community, and the Samoan community.
