Our highly experienced practitioner, Sheng-Feng Huang (Sam), has been practicing acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine for many years. Sam and his wife migrated to New Zealand from Taiwan in 1995 and he is fully qualified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.

Acupuncture is an alternative form of medicine in which thin needles are inserted into specific points along the body. This ancient practice helps regulate the flow of energy throughout the body, stimulating the production of chemicals that have pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effects. Acupuncture is commonly used to relieve chronic or acute pain, including headaches, lower back pain, osteoarthritis, tennis elbow, and menstrual cramps.

Our acupuncturists are skilled in identifying weak or stagnant energy flow in the body. By stimulating specific points with electro-acupuncture, we can promote energy flow and effectively relieve pain. Additionally, the use of electro-acupuncture can increase metabolism rate, and when combined with advised diet and exercise, our patients have the potential to reduce their weight by 1kg per week.

In addition to acupuncture, we also offer deep tissue massage and cupping as part of our treatment options. This type of massage is particularly beneficial for treating musculoskeletal disorders such as strains and sports injuries. Our pricing for treatments is as follows: Initial Treatment is priced at $90 for 60 minutes and may include acupuncture, cupping, and electro-stimulation. Follow-up treatments are available for $60 for 30 minutes, $80 for 45 minutes, and $90 for 60 minutes. Bloodletting and cupping can be added to any treatment for an additional $20. For deep tissue massage combined with cupping, the prices are $60 for 30 minutes, $80 for 45 minutes, and $90 for 60 minutes.
