Raureka Kindergarten

Raureka Kindergarten is a warm and nurturing learning environment located in Hastings, New Zealand. Our dedicated Kaiako (teachers) are committed to teaching from the heart, using Mana Enhancing practices to foster a strong sense of identity and belonging in our tamariki (children).

At Raureka, we believe in the power of Manaakitanga (caring for others) and Whanaungtanga (building relationships) to create a welcoming and inclusive space for all. We strive to enhance the Mana of our tamariki, showing them that learning can be fun and encouraging them to become lifelong learners.

We take pride in our Mana enhancing practice, ensuring that aroha (love and respect) is at the core of everything we do. We recognize and celebrate the unique gifts and talents of each tamati (child), using them as a foundation for their kindergarten learning journey.

Our passionate Kaiako are dedicated to creating authentic Te Ao Māori (Māori world) experiences for our tamariki, promoting the concept of Ako (learning from one another). Our environment is intentionally designed to provide a safe place for tamariki to be themselves and learn through active exploration and investigation.

Through the values of Manaakitanga and Whānuangtanga, you can feel the wairua (spirit) within our kindergarten, fostering a strong sense of belonging. We actively encourage whānau (family) to be involved in their tamati's learning journey.

Raureka Kindergarten operates from Tuesday 23 January to Thursday 21 December, Monday to Friday. We are open during term breaks, excluding the Christmas break and public holidays. We also observe specific holidays such as Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, King's Birthday, Matariki, and Labour Day.

The cost of any hours over and above 6 hours per day is $5.00 per hour per child/tamaiti. This means that there is only a charge for the 7.5-hour (8am - 3.30pm) session. Our fees are as follows:

- 1 Day: $7.50

- 2 Days: $15.00

- 3 Days: $22.50

- 4 Days: $30.00

- 5 Days: $37.50
