Our institution was formed in 2017 when two of the top law firms in Hawke's Bay, Bramwell Grossman and Bate Hallett, merged. This merger created one of the strongest and most experienced practices in the region, with a team of directors including Edward Bostock, Quentin Johnston, Kevin Osborne, Roger Philip, Malcolm Taylor, and Graham Throp.
Both Bramwell Grossman and Bate Hallett have a long-standing history of providing exceptional legal services in the Hawke's Bay area. Bate Hallett, which originated from the merger of Simpson Bate and Hallett Heath, has been serving the region for 99 years, and we are excited to celebrate our centenary as Bramwell Bate Limited. Bramwell Grossman, on the other hand, traces its roots back to the 1950s and has been operating under its current name since 1960.
By merging, we have strengthened our service offerings, enhanced client service, and ensured our ability to attract and retain the best legal professionals in the region.
