The Yoga Space Hastings

Welcome to The Yoga Space Hastings, a cosy yoga studio located in the heart of Hastings, New Zealand. Our establishment offers a diverse range of daily yoga classes and wellness events, making it the perfect place for you to embark on your yoga journey.

The Yoga Space Hastings is a collaborative effort by a group of locally based yoga and meditation teachers, as well as body workers, each bringing their own unique teaching style and expertise. Our goal is to provide a space where the principles of Yoga, meaning Union, can nourish and serve all your individual needs of body, mind, and spirit.

One of our experienced yoga teachers, Radha, completed a 500h teacher training in the Hridaya yoga and meditation school in Mexico. During her time there, she immersed herself in yogic philosophy and lifestyle, developing a deep passion for the traditional teachings of Yoga and the healing science of Ayurveda. Radha's personal practice and teaching style focus on meditation as a tool for self-connection and exploring the heart of being. She offers meditative traditional hatha, yin, meditation courses, and silent meditation retreats.

Lauren, another member of our team, is passionate about connection, community, and personal development. She has dedicated her time to learning various healing modalities, including massage, reiki, sound healing, flower essence remedies, and laughter yoga. Lauren believes in the power of these practices to serve and benefit the community.

Erleen, with over 12 years of yoga practice, completed her 200hr yoga teacher training through Jayayoga in 2021. She focuses on providing a safe and sustainable practice that balances building strength and flexibility in the mind and body. With her knowledge and training in trauma and mental health awareness, Erleen aims to offer a complete practice that is sensitive to the nervous system.

Mary, who has been attending yoga classes for over a decade, underwent level 1 Purna Yoga Teacher training in Byron Bay in 2019. For Mary, teacher training has been a life-changing experience, facilitating daily self-practice. As a health practitioner, she understands the importance of maintaining fitness, flexibility, and strength as we age. Mary believes that in today's hectic life, the skills to focus inwardly and relax are invaluable.

Jenny, a practitioner of massage therapy for over 20 years, completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training in 2021. Her focus has always been on bringing her clients to a place of relaxation for profound healing. Jenny's classes specialize in yin, restorative, and yoga nidra, with a deep understanding of myofascial release and its benefits for the body. Through yin and restorative yoga, Jenny aims to help release fascia and create more energy for a balanced and rejuvenated life.

Gemma, our newest addition to the team, completed a 200h Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Teacher training with Akasha Yoga Academy. Her passion for yoga and dedication to her practice make her a valuable asset to our studio.
