"1st visit. Looked a nice friendly funky place. Couldn't be more wrong. Asked for Americano black, regular, takeaway, they asked for $5.50 (when average price was $4-4.50), I friendily pointed out this was more than I'd ever been charged for a black coffee including in the big cities, and that their sit in charge was $4 for a black coffee. They replied with no humour and grumpiness. I needed a coffee so paid $4 for the sit in, got glared at on way out. Maybe it was my accent, I'm an immigrant, $1.50 for a paper cup !! I can't see many locals putting up with $1.50 for a paper cup."
"Friday, It's like coming home to mothers home cooked food. The Tomato and caps soup with comp Cheese fried scone is the bomb. Monday...So good that I drove from Napier to Hastings to buy out their Tomato and caps soup yip all of it lol. An added treat of Chicken and leek pie for hubby...oh my..so good."
