"It's 2021 and it's still hard for me to find a decent cafe in Hastings, where its chefs are creative, put their heart and soul into their food and that serve delicious more than 1 vegan option. But there are one or two cafe gems here in this bustling growing city that really shine through, CoLlab Cafe is one of them. This cafe is not all about serving to please the latest trend or fad diet, but to serve delicious wholesome food, where most of their meals are vegetarian or vegan and to do it well. Today I tried their Tofu & Winter Vegetable Curry $10 lunch special, with was served hot with 2 flakey Wholemeal Roti flat breads on the side. It was sweet, savoury & warmly spiced. The Vegetables were Sweet potato, Pumpkin, Red & Yellow Peppers, Carrots, Onions, Celery with Crumbled Tofu, Cilantro in a light mild to medium spiced coconut curry gravy. Delicious & not heavy, which meant I could continue to work the afternoon away without a carb crash. Great value! Thanks CoLab team!"
