Reviews
"This park caters for a range of activities. From school rugby practice to walking your dog."
"It’s a very ugly park. I dont understand the positive reviews. It’s just a large green sports field. There are very few trees and no gardens and flowers and few places to sit. I bring my dog here but I wish it was a more beautiful space because right now it’s just wasted potential. Waaaay too many sport fields when the vast majority of users are dog walkers. Why not make half for sports and half with some natives and gardens for people and their dogs to walk amongst? That would be a much better and more environmentally friendly use of the space. I’m sure the DCC can afford it considering the vast amount of dog registration fees it receives. Hope to see some developments in future. After seeing such beautiful parks in Europe (much like queens garden in Invercargill which is dog friendly too) I’m often really confused at the utilitarian, barren nature of most Dunedin parks. They can be simply quite depressingly."
