With 38 years of experience as a Court lawyer, I have successfully handled over 3,000 cases in the Courts and Tribunals of New Zealand. My expertise extends to the District Court, High Court, Court of Appeal, and various administrative Tribunals. This extensive experience allows me to navigate the legal system effectively, striving to achieve favorable outcomes for my clients in a timely manner.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree (1974) and a Bachelor of Laws degree (1980) from the prestigious University of Otago. I completed the Law Professionals Course in 1980 and was admitted to the Bar that same year. In recognition of my expertise, I was awarded the New Zealand Law Society Litigation Skills Diploma in 1987. Additionally, I became a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2018.

Beyond my legal career, I am a published author, with my most recent book, "Umberto Nobile and the Arctic Search for the Airship Italia," being published by Fonthill in 2017. I am also a regular contributor to New Zealand aviation magazines, demonstrating my extensive knowledge and passion for the field.

With a comprehensive understanding of aviation law, I offer specialized services to operators and pilots. This includes handling fit and proper person issues, providing advocacy both inside and outside the courtroom, and offering expert advice and case management.

Moreover, I bring a unique perspective to aviation law as I have personal experience in the industry. Holding a Commercial Pilot License (Aeroplane) and a 'B' category instructor rating, I have accumulated over 3,000 hours as a pilot in command. Additionally, I hold a Qualified Glider Pilot Certificate, a 'C' category glider instructor rating, and a glider towing rating.
