Regan Horrell, the talented drum teacher at Taieri Drum Tuition, has over 30 years of drumming experience. His passion for drumming began at the age of 16 when he joined a school rock band. With his extensive knowledge and expertise, Regan provides private drum lessons from his state-of-the-art drum studio in Mosgiel. Equipped with a professional Yamaha electronic drum kit, his studio offers an ear-friendly environment for learning. Students also have the opportunity to record their progress and explore the joy of playing on nearly 60 different drum kits.

In addition to teaching at his studio, Regan is also available to travel and provide drum lessons at students' homes. He believes in tailoring each lesson to meet the unique needs and goals of his students, making the learning experience both enjoyable and rewarding. Regan's fun approach to teaching ensures that students not only develop their drumming skills but also foster a love for music.

Throughout his career, Regan has played drums in various genres, including country music, church performances, heavy metal, and classic and heavy rock covers bands. He has performed popular hits from artists such as The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Green Day, and Metallica. Regan has also taught drums to students in schools across Dunedin and the Taieri region.

As a member of the Total Drummer drum teaching program, Regan has access to an extensive library of teaching materials. This includes the main syllabus, famous song charts, and drumless playalong tracks, enabling him to provide a comprehensive learning experience for his students.
