Throughout the year, our students and staff engage in a variety of exciting activities. Recently, we had a fantastic time competing in the Interhouse O'Mathalon, showcasing the mathematical talents of our students. We also believe in the importance of art education, and our Year Nine Art course students recently enjoyed a half-day visit to the Dunedin Public Art Gallery.

In terms of extracurricular activities, our choir has been flourishing, expanding their voices, repertoire, and building strong relationships with each other. Additionally, we take pride in our students' achievements in various competitions such as the ICAS Mathematics Competition and the New Zealandn Mathematics Competition.

We are extremely proud of our Year 13 leavers who have collectively been awarded over $400,000 worth of University Scholarships. Congratulations to all of them for their outstanding achievements.

Sports play a significant role in our school community, and we offer a range of options including rugby, netball, football, basketball, hockey, and tennis. We are thrilled to announce that Fletcher Melville has been selected for the Otago surf high schools Scholastic surf Team, showcasing our students' talent and dedication.

Throughout the year, we celebrate special occasions and events such as the United Nations Race Relations Day and our Youth Week. These events provide opportunities for our students to come together, learn, and appreciate different cultures.

As the end of Term 3 approaches, we are eagerly looking forward to our Youth Week and the highly anticipated International Food Festival, which promises to be a highlight of the term.
