School of Pharmacy Clinic

Welcome to the School of Pharmacy Clinic, located at 325 Great King Street in Dunedin, New Zealand. We are a renowned establishment in the field of health and a point of interest for the community.

At our clinic, we offer free medicines assessment and consultation services to members of the public. Our team of clinical pharmacists is dedicated to working with you and your healthcare team to improve your overall health. We strive to provide a better understanding of your medical conditions and medications, using evidence-based medicine and solving any medicine-related problems that may arise.

Our clinical team consists of registered pharmacists who are passionate about enhancing the health of the Dunedin community and helping individuals achieve their health goals. During your first appointment, which may take up to one hour, we will thoroughly assess your medical conditions and the medications you are taking. We will also check how your medicines are working for you and answer any questions you may have, providing guidance on the best way to use them.

As part of our commitment to your wellbeing, we offer follow-up consultations by phone or additional clinical appointments as needed, all of which are free of charge. We encourage you to bring your whānau or other support people with you to your appointment.

You can find us on the ground floor of the School of Physiotherapy Building at 325 Great King Street in central Dunedin. Conveniently, there are two free carparks available across the street, outside the Department of Zoology. If you plan to drive, we can provide more details about these carparks when you schedule your appointment.

Our services are provided free of charge, thanks to funding from the University of Otago. To ensure comprehensive care, we will share a summary of our advice with your nominated GP and pharmacist. This information will also be accessible on HealthConnect South.

Referrals can be submitted electronically via secure ERMS through your PMS, by phone at 03 479 8141, or by email at pharmacy.clinic@otago.ac.nz. When submitting a referral, please include the necessary information outlined on our website. If you prefer, you can also request an appointment on behalf of your patient, as the last three fields of the form allow you to add healthcare provider details.
