Welcome to Clip Joint Hairdressing, Dunedin's first sustainable and carbon positive hair and beauty salon. Located at 100 Great King Street in Dunedin, New Zealand, our salon is proud to be finalists in the hair salon of the year and sustainable salon of the year categories in the New Zealand industry awards 2022.

At Clip Joint Hairdressing, we offer a full range of hairdressing services in our well-established and centrally located salon. Whether you're looking for a haircut, color, or styling, our experienced stylists are here to cater to your needs. Additionally, we have a beauty room where we provide facial waxing, tinting, eyelash lifts, and eyebrow lamination services. Our team is happy to schedule your beauty treatments alongside your hair appointments, so be sure to ask your stylist how we can accommodate you.

As an eco salon since 2015, we are proud to be the first certified climate and carbon-neutral hair salon in Dunedin. We have received recognition for our sustainability efforts, including being awarded the Most Sustainable Salon in the New Zealand Industry Awards 2021 and Best Eco Salon in the APAC Business Awards 2021 and 2022.

We prioritize the well-being of our clients and the environment. Our salon is 99% vegan, and we offer vegan products to cater to our vegan clientele. Additionally, we ensure that 100% of our products are cruelty-free and take steps to be environmentally friendly. For example, we use biodegradable paper instead of foil for coloring aids, which can be reused multiple times before breaking down. We also recycle our Keune foil and color tubes, as well as other recyclable materials like plastic, glass, paper, and cardboard.

At Clip Joint Hairdressing, we are proud to be part of the Oway family, using their certified organic and biodynamic colors and products in our salon. Oway is a family-owned company that prioritizes sustainable practices and ethical sourcing. Their packaging is made of glass and aluminum, and their products are paraben and sulfate-free.

We also offer an in-salon refill station for shampoo, conditioner, and masks, providing up to 20% off when you refill. Recently, we have expanded our refill station to include body wash, dishwashing liquid, laundry powder, and handwash from ecostore. We even recycle the containers we receive the products in through the company.

While we have a loyal clientele, we always welcome new clients. Appointments are not always necessary, and we offer complimentary fringe trims for regular clients in between appointments. We also provide complimentary 15-minute consultations to discuss your hair wants and needs.

For your convenience, we accept LayBuy and genoapay as forms of payment for products and services over $60 in-salon.

Please note that due to increased demand, we have implemented a cancellation policy. We value each of our clients and strive to find suitable appointment times. However, last-minute cancellations or no-shows make it difficult for us to fill those appointment slots. We kindly request that you provide 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling, except in cases of illness, emergencies, or COVID-related issues. Cancellation fees may apply for appointments canceled or rescheduled without sufficient notice.
