"Pathetic unauthentic Indian food!! Tried Tandoori mushroom, chicken tikka & Onion Bhajee from their menu and all had dull bland taste. Curries had a weird sugary taste as if dipped in sugar syrup. This was even when we had requested medium spicy. Also, we had requested 4 garlic naans to be cut into 4 pieces, but they hurriedly cooked it and gave us whole breads. This bread got rubber hard after 30min even though the person serving told us it should retain its crispy taste couple of hours later. We had to dispose off most of it in bin, as it wasn't edible. Would not recommend if you are after Indian Food in Dunedin."
"Great place. Tried first time today and wow I was blown away by the taste of the butter chicken I ordered. Got a garlic naan bread which was the size of a dinner saucer plate, rice and butter chicken all in their seperate packaging. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t eat it on the go and had to take it home to serve it on a plate but satisfied because it will last me (one person) three to four more meals/portions. For about 23$ it was worth it."
"Curry has always been great and smooth; creamy consistency when I've visited (: Best designed to be a Indian take out - 3 stars for atmosphere."
"Tried these guys again on Friday night. The website offered free onion bhagee on orders above $50. We didn’t get that in our order that was certainly above $50. We got some free gulab jamuns that were very average. Samosas in the mixed platter was awesome, crunchy pastry and spicy filling. Lamb kebabs were flavoursome too. Chicken tikka below par. Chicken main had breast pieces that were super dry and a complete mistake from the chef/owner. Hospitality facing tough times and cost reduction to stay in business is not unusual. However, using chicken breasts in long slow cooked dishes is an absolute no no. Spinach dish was average too and the potatoes were below par. I wouldn’t order here again in a hurry, however, it’s an okay place if you are super hungry ."
"IMO it’s a top notch curry establishment. They’ve had some wee problems but it always gets fixed when mentioned to the staff (re website). I’ve always done an online order, picked up & so far it’s always within 5 mins of the time I select. Great front of house staff, no confusion or wrong orders so far Wouldn’t go out of my way to order from here specifically but great if you’re on this side of town."
