About Bulmers Landing
Welcome to Bulmers Landing, an establishment located in the picturesque Waikato region of New Zealand. As a park, point of interest, and tourist attraction, Bulmers Landing offers a unique and memorable experience for visitors of all ages.
Camping enthusiasts will be delighted to know that camping in the Waipā District is regulated by reserve management plan policies for each park and reserve. There are two different types of camping available: contained and conventional.
For those seeking a tranquil lakeside camping experience, the Arapuni and Karāpiro lakeside reserves are the perfect destinations. Contained camping is permitted for up to two consecutive nights, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. However, conventional overnight camping is not allowed on any lakeside reserve.
If you're looking for a camping spot near Lake Ngāroto, please note that contained camping is permitted for up to two consecutive nights. Conventional camping, on the other hand, is only allowed in association with and for the duration of an event on the site, with a maximum limit of five consecutive days.
At Turata Reserve in Kihikihi, contained camping is permitted for up to two consecutive nights, providing a peaceful retreat in the heart of nature. However, conventional overnight camping is not allowed in this area.
Please be aware that in urban reserves, such as playgrounds, sports fields, and cycle ways, both contained and conventional camping is only permitted on specific designated camping grounds. Alternatively, camping may be allowed in association with a scout or similar youth event, circus, or market event that has been pre-approved by the council.
For more camping options in the Waipā District, we recommend using the Camper Mate app. This app will help you find camping areas, public toilets, parks, and reserves throughout New Zealand, ensuring a comfortable and convenient stay.
We kindly ask all visitors to respect our guidelines and regulations during their stay at any of our camping areas. By doing so, we can ensure a harmonious and enjoyable experience for everyone.
So, whether you're seeking a peaceful lakeside retreat or an adventurous camping experience, Bulmers Landing is the ideal choice. Explore the beauty of the Waikato region and create unforgettable memories at our institution.
Reviews of Bulmers Landing
"Love it here even in winter! Nice to get out of the city. BTW …. As of 30 June 2023 the loos are still here and I’m not sure why or how they went missing but definitely not gone.."
"Only one here. Great place. No toilets"
"What a hidden treasure. Spent 2 nights in our self contained camper with our dog. Such a great spot and grateful for places that allow dogs. Awesome!"
"Lovely camping spot right by the river. Lots of space and decent flushing toilets onsite."
"Always beautiful, especially early in the morning when the water is still, the grass is frosty and all you can hear are the native birds and farm animals from the surrounding farms"
