"A hidden gem in Christchurch. Treat yourself to a spicy delightful taste of crispy pork with coconut milk. This is just one of their handful delectable Filipino cuisines."
"Ordered chopsuey and bicol express on a Saturday evening 03-June almost 6pm. The presentation looks great but taste is not good. Chopsuey tastes like mix veggies where you put some soy sauce and water. There's no flour mix into it and doesn't really taste like Pinoy Chopsuey. Though presentation was nice but thats about it. Bicol express presentation was gourmet. However, the sabaw or its soup, tastes pure coconut milk and the meat was fried and not cooked with the coconut milk. It doesnt taste like bicol express. The fried meat on top of the soup doesnt even taste good. It seems like the taste of food in sarisari is not up to standard when compared when I first dined in 2yrs ago. Only the presentation was great. I also ordered sarisari rice but the rice doesnt taste fresh. It taste like the rice from 90secs ready to eat rice. Again presentation was great but taste terrible. Im disappointed and wont go back again as the price is not worth it. Sorry."
"We visit this place every time we come to Christchurch for the food, sadly, not the service. Tonight, we enjoyed the usual crispy pata (a must have) and pancit canton. In addition, we had the kare kare beef and the sago’t gulaman drink. The food is devine; tasty and generous. The food was not as hot as we would like, but okay - just like in the Philippines. Our biggest let down was the lack of service. The solo guy running front of house never smiled all evening, failed to engage with customers and gave the distinct impression he was there under duress. Our table lacked serviettes and adequate cutlery. Tables about us were littered with dirty dishes and the remains of others meals. He did not appear to have a system in place for clearing tables and ambled from one table to another randomly taking some items at a time out to the kitchen. He had no sense of purpose or focus. This place has great potential, but clearly has a staffing issue."
"Delicious food. This is a great place to try Filipino food if you’ve never had it before. The dishes are savory and the Halo Halo “milkshake”-like dessert is a must!"
