Mens Counsellor
About the Business
Welcome to Mens Counsellor, located at Christchurch, Grove Road in New Zealand. As an establishment focused on health and personal growth, we are dedicated to helping men on their journey towards a better life.
What sets us apart is that we understand what it's like to be a bloke and to seek counselling. We have no desire to make your experience difficult because we believe that if you are ready for change, you are ready to take the first step.
Our main goal is to see people become the best version of themselves, fostering healthy relationships and living fulfilling lives. Sometimes, it can be challenging to confront your past, acknowledge the impact of others on your life, and explore ways to recover, grow, and change. In these moments, having a supportive and non-judgmental individual by your side can make all the difference. If you believe I can be that person for you, I am eager to start this journey together.
As a client or person-centered therapist, I incorporate various techniques into my work with clients, including creative drawing exercises, transactional analysis, and the empty chair technique. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Counselling and I am a Full Member of NZCCA. Additionally, I tutor on the counselling program at Vision College. On a personal note, I am married to Ruth and we have two teenage sons. Outside of my profession, I have a passion for old Triumph Motorcycles, well-planted veggie gardens, vintage fighter aircraft, community development initiatives, pizza ovens, books with swords on the covers, music played with passion, steam trains, forests, children flourishing, authentic spirituality, sustainability, and people embracing their true selves. I also enjoy watching movies and going for walks on the beach.
If you are interested in working together and finding a good therapeutic fit, please feel free to give me a call. I am here to help with a wide range of issues, including abuse, addiction, anger, anxiety, boundaries, childhood experiences, depression, gaming addiction, grief, guilt, loneliness, marriage, parenting, perfectionism, pornography, finding purpose, relationships, self-esteem, separation, shame, social anxiety, spirituality, stress, and trauma.
If you are specifically looking for a female counsellor, a relationship/marriage/couples counsellor, or an online support community, please let me know and I can provide appropriate recommendations.
Don't just take my word for it, here's what one of my clients had to say: "At the start, I couldn't imagine how meeting with Campbell was going to help me. I didn't really know how counselling worked. But I was in a dark place, and he understood that. Over time, he helped me understand myself and grow. It was truly amazing."
I am eager to hear from you and do my part in helping you on your journey. However, the ball is in your court now. I hope to hear from you soon. Take care and go well.
