Welcome to Wintec Event Room 1, located in Hamilton, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are proud to be part of Wintec | Te Pūkenga – New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology, alongside other polytechnics in Aotearoa. Our institution is dedicated to nurturing and guiding individual students within a supportive community, helping them navigate a rapidly changing world.

At Wintec | Te Pūkenga, we offer high-quality training to approximately 13,000 ākonga/learners each year. With over 130 vocational courses available, ranging from certificates to degrees, postgraduate and master's levels, we provide a wide range of options to suit various career paths. We believe that relevant training and qualifications are crucial, but we also prioritize the development of confidence and well-being in our ākonga/learners.

Our experienced and knowledgeable kaimahi/staff are committed to supporting our students on their educational journey. We ensure our graduates are equipped with the confidence and skills to apply their knowledge in the real world. From the beginning of their studies, our students have the opportunity to put their learning into practice through work placements and real-life projects, gaining valuable industry experience.

At Wintec | Te Pūkenga, we are dedicated to creating an environment that values Māori and Te Tiriti partnerships. We strive for equitable outcomes for all learners, including Māori, Pacific, and disabled students. Having grown from a small technical college to one of New Zealand's largest tertiary education institutes, we are proud to be part of Te Pūkenga, New Zealand Institute of Skills and Technology. This network allows our learners to access a variety of learning options, including online, on-campus, and on-job learning, providing flexibility in their educational journey.

In addition to our commitment to education, we also offer exciting events such as musical theatre showcases, where our first-year ākonga (students) from the Music and Performing Arts degree present their talents. From high-energy song and dance numbers to intimate and emotional storytelling through song, these showcases offer something for everyone.
