Welcome to BestStart Claudelands, located in the heart of Hamilton, New Zealand. Our institution is more than just a school, it is a warm and nurturing environment where children, families, and teachers come together to form one big extended family.

At BestStart Claudelands, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation of a safe and inclusive center. We strive to create a sense of belonging for everyone, allowing children, families, and teachers to feel safe and free to be themselves.

Situated in one of Hamilton's oldest suburbs, our center has been a part of the community for many years. While we may look like a classic kindergarten, we are a unique and vibrant bunch who celebrate diversity and value inclusion.

We encourage children to explore, create, and inspire in their own unique ways, always staying true to who they are. We believe that diversity brings valuable learning experiences, and as we build relationships, we learn from one another.

Our team consists of dedicated professionals who bring their own unique strengths and expertise to the classroom. With our Center Manager having over fifteen years of experience, they are a pillar of our BestStart Claudelands family. Our teaching team regularly attends professional development to continue their growth and some specialize in working with diverse learners. We also have a talented chef who provides nutritious meals to keep our children energized for their daily learning and growth.

Our center features two main rooms named Tui and Kereru, representing the cultural heritage and uniqueness of the Claudelands area. In addition, we have a cozy room specifically designed for our under 2's, providing them with a nurturing and stimulating environment.

At BestStart Claudelands, we believe in the power of community and family. We recently had a fantastic Whanau Day, where families and teachers came together to enjoy a day of fun and connection. It was a great opportunity for parents to engage in meaningful conversations and for our older children to reunite with their former classmates and teachers.

We are grateful for the trust and support of our families, as expressed through their kind words and appreciation. We take pride in being a part of each child's journey, witnessing their growth and development.

In our center, children have the opportunity to explore a variety of resources and engage in sensory play, such as gloop, slime, and finger painting. We believe in providing a hands-on and immersive learning experience for our tamariki.
