Salvation Army Tauranga Addiction Services
About the Business
Welcome to Salvation Army Tauranga Addiction Services, located at 176 Fraser Street in Tauranga, New Zealand. As an establishment, point of interest, and store, we are dedicated to providing effective support services to help individuals and families overcome the harmful effects of alcohol and other drugs.
At Salvation Army Tauranga Addiction Services, we offer a safe and supportive environment for people seeking wellness and their families. We believe in personal choice and encourage individuals to make decisions that support their own recovery journey. Our culturally appropriate recovery information and practical tools are communicated in meaningful ways to promote healthy wellbeing.
Our Bridge services are supported by a team of professional staff who bring a combination of clinical knowledge, cultural worldviews, and lived experience. They work closely with individuals and families to provide wrap-around support services that address their unique needs.
A study conducted by the University of Otago, "Testing the Bridge" in 2015, found that our services provide evidence-based, world-class treatment and continuing care for individuals affected by substance abuse. We employ a recovery-focused approach, using evidence-based approaches to reduce physical, physiological, and social harm resulting from alcohol and/or drug use.
In addition to addressing substance abuse, we are also committed to supporting individuals with co-existing mental health challenges. We take a kaupapa whānau approach, working collaboratively with other services to ensure the overall well-being of our clients.
Each Salvation Army Bridge location offers different programs and support services. Some centers provide residential programs, while others focus on community-based programs. We also offer a Recovery Church, where individuals can explore spirituality and engage with the 12 Step program.
Our clients have shared their personal stories of transformation and hope. From individuals who started using substances at a young age to those who struggled with addiction for decades, Salvation Army Tauranga Addiction Services has provided them with the tools and support to change their lives for the better.
