Established in 1996, our institution is dedicated to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals living with mental illness and/or addiction. We understand the significance of feeling secure and nurtured, and we aim to foster meaningful relationships and develop essential skills that will facilitate community inclusion and participation.

Our suite of services is designed to support each individual's chosen path to recovery. Whether you are in need of counseling, therapy, or other forms of assistance, we are here to guide you towards a healthier and happier life.

Located at the Historic Village on 17th Avenue, Tauranga, our environment at Turning Point Trust is both quirky and peaceful. Joining Turning Point is a simple process. Just reach out to Nicki, our friendly staff member in the main office. You can call her at 07 578 6934 or email her at nicki@turningpoint.org.nz. Nicki will be more than happy to give you a tour of our facilities, inform you about our activities, and answer any questions you may have. Once you fill out a short registration form, you will have access to all of our services. You are also welcome to bring a friend, whanau member, or support worker to your initial appointment.

Our services are available for anyone over the age of 18 with experience of mental illness and/or addiction. We are genuinely interested in your current situation and your journey towards well-being. Our facilitators will support you in developing a personalized Recovery Plan, and we will assist you in achieving your goals.

If you are currently receiving care at Te Whare Maiangiangi (the mental health inpatient unit), we are open to supporting you. Please come in and talk to Nicki so that we can ensure your well-being plan is aligned with your needs while you are at Te Taiope Huringanui.
