Welcome to Barnardos Early Learning Centre Te Rapa! I'm Monique, the Centre Manager, and I am excited to meet you and your whanau (family) and invite you into our incredible learning community.

Opened in February 2020, our centre is a vibrant and inviting space, designed to stimulate and nurture your child's natural curiosity. With spacious indoor and outdoor environments, we provide the perfect setting for your child to explore and grow. We welcome children aged 0-5 years old, creating a diverse and inclusive learning environment.

Conveniently located just a minute away from Forest Lake School on Te Rapa Road, our brand new centre offers a prime location for families in the Hamilton area. We are dedicated to creating the best conditions for your child's learning, well-being, and care, ensuring that they are in safe hands while providing you with the convenience you need.

At Barnardos Te Rapa, we understand the importance of making parenting a little easier. That's why we offer flexible hours and utilize Storypark, our online parent communication tool, to keep you involved in your child's development. We also provide local excursions, delicious meals, and engaging activities to offer the best possible experience for your child.

Our happy and nurturing environment inspires and empowers children to learn in their own unique way. Our outdoor spaces encourage imaginative play, while our spacious indoor areas provide opportunities for reading, rest, and engaging learning experiences. We believe in building strong connections with nature and the local community, as it helps children develop a sense of belonging and positively influences their learning experiences.

Nutrition is a priority at Barnardos Te Rapa. We strive to provide nutritious and delicious meals and snacks to support your child's physical and mental development. We encourage healthy eating habits and cater to any allergies or dietary requirements your child may have.

Affordability is also important to us. As a not-for-profit organization, everything we do goes back into supporting your child, the centre, and our community. We offer fee and ECE subsidies for eligible families, so please speak to our Centre Manager for further information.

Come and explore our outdoor play area and colorful peepholes in the fence! We have installed windows to let in plenty of sunshine, creating a bright and cheerful atmosphere. We also use Storypark to document and communicate your child's learning journey through photos, videos, and observations. This secure online platform allows you to receive instant feedback and plan new ways to extend your child's unique interests and abilities.
