Narrows Camping

Welcome to Narrows Camping, located in the beautiful Waikato region of Hamilton, New Zealand. Our institution offers a range of facilities and services including a campground, lodging options, a park, and an RV park. We are a point of interest for both locals and tourists, providing a peaceful and enjoyable experience for all.

At Narrows Camping, we prioritize the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. Our dedicated staff are always onsite, ensuring that the premises are well-maintained and ready for your camp booking. Rest assured, when the current situation clears up, we will be here to welcome you with open arms.

We are pleased to announce that under Level 2 regulations, we are able to accommodate group bookings of up to 10 people. Additionally, for schools, we can host up to 100 individuals indoors, in accordance with the schools regulations under Level 2. We are currently accepting forward bookings for the remainder of 2020 and into 2021. In the event that the rules change, we offer risk-free, refundable, and deferrable deposits.

In an effort to support our local communities, we have launched a new fundraising service. If your organization is in need of funds, we can provide meals, snacks, and freshly made food to order as part of a fundraising package. As a non-profit organization, we greatly appreciate donations and local support. Without sufficient income, we are unable to continue providing the services and experiences that we are known for. If you would like to contribute to the work of Narrows Park, we would love to partner with you and ensure that this valuable institution can continue to thrive.

Narrows Camping is an ideal venue for various events and gatherings. Whether you are planning a school camp, church camp, community group activity, or a family reunion, our facility can accommodate your needs. With 120 beds available, as well as camping and marae style sleeping options for up to 300 individuals, we have the space to make your event a success.

In addition to our regular offerings, we also create and run events that focus on developing young leaders, strengthening families, and fostering a greater sense of community. Through our camping platform, we aim to provide transformative experiences for individuals and groups alike.

We take pride in the positive feedback we receive from our guests. Whether you are a camper, a parent, or a newlywed couple, we strive to ensure that your experience at Narrows Camping is nothing short of memorable.

Our accommodation options cater to a range of preferences. Our cozy bunk rooms offer a simple yet comfortable experience, complete with a heater for winter months and linen available for hire. It's reminiscent of the joyous sleepovers we all enjoyed as kids.

For those traveling in campers, buses, or vans, we have plenty of powered sites available. With approximately twenty-six sites, you can enjoy the serene countryside just off the beaten track of State Highway 1.

If you prefer the traditional camping experience, we offer acres of tenting space situated high on the banks of New Zealand's longest river. Wake up to the soothing sounds of birdsong and the gentle flow of the river, or perhaps the excitement of fellow campers starting their day.
