Welcome to Waitetuna School, located in the heart of our rural community in New Zealand. Situated just 15 minutes from Raglan, our school offers a unique and enriching educational experience for children in the area.
At Waitetuna School, we believe in providing diverse learning experiences that allow children to thrive. With a high adult to student ratio and a warm, inclusive culture, we ensure that every child feels supported and valued. Our dedicated team of three experienced teachers and two teacher aides ensure that each child receives the personal attention they deserve, both academically and socially.
In addition to our strong academic focus, we also place a strong emphasis on environmental education. We believe in teaching our students about the importance of sustainability and caring for our planet. Through our environmental education program, children are given the opportunity to develop a deep appreciation for the natural world.
We understand the demands of modern life, which is why we offer additional services to support our families. After school care is available, allowing parents to finish their day at work while their children are looked after in a safe and nurturing environment. We also offer a Breakfast Club every morning, providing a nutritious start to the day for our students.
Technology plays a crucial role in preparing our students for the future, which is why digital fluency is integrated into our curriculum. From year 4-8, each child is provided with a chrome book, allowing them to develop the necessary skills to thrive as 21st Century learners.
Transportation is made easy with our own school van. This means that children can easily attend sports events, surfing lessons, ski trips, camps, arts excursions, science road shows, and any other educational activities outside the classroom.
