"Easy walk to the top of the falls. Lovely stone path running beside a stream & meandering through bush. If you choose to continue to the bottom, it starts as a gentle slope before you get to the 261 stairs - there'd been rain the previous day & was large puddles on most steps needing to be avoided, be careful the wooden step surround is very slippery and the bush side muddy! The view improved at every viewing platform and made us continue downward to the best view at the bottom. Unfortunately each seat was wet due to lack of sunlight on them & I felt the return trip up the stairs for 3-4 days afterwards! Note: I'm not very fit - obviously.!!"
"This was simply nature giving its most spectacular performance. Free to access with easy parking, we visited in low season though."
"Very nice weekend trip ,, easy walk down to the bottom of the falls,, climbing back on to the top of the falls through the stairs are not that difficult if you are moderately fit… the falls is very beautiful & calm in nature that will attract you,, you can spend time there on the bench,, will not recommend to use the toilet though, because of less maintenance & dirty."
"Nice 35 mins drive from Hamilton, and beautiful little forest walk.. hard to believe that the tiny little stream that you see when you start your walk, turns into such a majestic waterfall.. easy access, but the stairs might get slippery when wet.."
"Great large spaces to capture the view. Wear non slip shoes on rainy days. The wood and clay get slippery. 20 min round walk. Easy to navigate with good walkways. Stunning views. Such a nice bush walk as well. Plenty of signs."
